Some of you may have seen this article and when i first saw it i was outraged
However Demitriou has came out on SEN and said that most of this story is bullshower and he only merely suggested to Mark Robinson that if a big name player (he did not mention Buddy) went to GWS, the afl would have a look to see if it would be commercially viable for this player to become an ambassador

They certainly seem to be his lovechild. If Buds was to go surely it would be home to the west but this sort of shower from the league is ridiculous!
I love to see the dictator say they'd look at supporting Patton or Cameron coming down here to further the cause of say WB or North who are always struggling, they could use an ambassador surely!
They gave them the top 5 picks 2 years running in good draft years, a cost of living allowance (have you checked the difference between Sydney and Melbourne lately??? Almost nothing in living expenses. I know, I've lived in both cities) an 'establishing' allowance over the next 7 years and 'ambassador payments' outside the cap. He certainly knows how to put a life long fan off the game.
It's not bad enough I had to watch a team with $900,000 more in their cap beat us in the granny last year but they then signed the most expensive player on the market to play 11 games this year! Now they're trying to get Buddy up there?
What he was saying is "yes gws if you bid for him we will give you as much money as you need to get him there - so PUT IN AN OFFER KEVIN!
I just hope there are a lot of greedy young kids there that will be asking for more than their fair share of the pie in 5 years time or god help us Vics!
