def: You need one more premium defender in there like a hartlett, grimes or a hanley. Good rookie choices. Just see if they get named for round 1.

mid: One too many premiums for my likings. Get rid of one (perhaps Judd) and then use that money to improve your defense. Good rookie choices. Maybe replace crouch with wines

ruck: standard

fwd: nice strong forwards. Cant fault much here

8/10

Def: Good Strategy going with 3 Premium defenders & 3 Cash cows.Duffield should score higher now that Broughton is gone.
Mids: Unique  midfield with Chris Judd one of the few teams i have seen him in.
Ruck: Standard although a few have dropped off goldy.
fWDS: Solid not sold on Bartel but should be OK.

Overall: Solid team well balanced with the odd unique 8/10

Ringo

Solid Team

Do not think you are quite ready for Round 1 with rookies though, Just need to watch those named for Round 1,  At the moment have doubts that Docherty will be named for round 1 for example. (May be wrong though),

Def: Do not mind the 3 def - 3 rookie stratgey - Duffield sound choice. Not sold on Vlastin though as is suspect he may be vest material and at the price better options may be available.
Mids: Nice POD with Judd especially if Murphy and Gibbs draw the tags. Not sure about 2 mid pricers in Mundy and Moloney. Both will have to average pretty much 90+ from the outset to gain price increases if upgrading unless looking as keepers,  If looking to upgrade maybe downgrade one to a rookie who may rise in cash more quickly.
Rucks: Standard but if downgrading a mid maybe upgrade one to a Super prem.
Fwds: Not sold on Bartel given that he has slowly declined over the last 3 years and may do so this year. Other options available if in doubt.

Nice structure 8/10

Pretty nice set up.

The usual predicament of at least one line being under strength - and you have gone with a weaker backline.

Your mids more than make up for it.

I agree that 2 'mid' mids is one too many - unless you think they'll be top 10 - 12.

Personally, I wouldn't go Judd. I don't think he'll be top dozen and so will just take up space and steal points and cost you trades. Also, shares round 13 on the bench with Ablett, Bennell, Murphy, Swan, Pendles, Beams, Watson, Dangerfield, Thompson, Sloane etc etc.

8 ish/10.

PS Don't like your Goldberger combo.

The_Fitz

Not a fan of the ruck combo, but that's just me
Vlastuin I like but yeah i don't think he will get much game time.

Mids and Fwds look great

Personally would downgrade Moloney to a rookie and use the 200k to upgrade Vlastuin to a smokey midpricer with better job security. Bit midfield heavy, but looks good otherwise.

kilbluff1985

Yeah go Maloney to Wines then upgrade Judd and Mundy mids will still look strong

And go Zorko over Bartel

Thanks for the feedback, I've made some changes. Is this a little better?

Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, Murphy, Moloney, Wines, O'Meara, Crouch (Viney, K Mitchell)

Cox, Leuy (Rowe, Currie)

much better! only problem i have is with bartel

Zabs

Update...with Leuy a doubt have needed to make some adjustments. I think I'm nearly there!

Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Newman, Pittard, Goodes (Colquoun, Terlich)

Ablett, Pendles, Watson, Cotchin, Mundy, O'meara, Crouch, Wines (Viney, Mitchell)

Jacobs, Currie (Rowe, Daw)

Franklin, Cox, Bartel, Rockliff, Karnezis, Macaffer (Lee, Neade)

I reckon Newman playing a different role this year could be a bonus, and Bartel should average at least 100  which is hard to find with a forward. I know Curriebis a risk, although I have Cox as a back up.

thoughts?

hannebery2rohan

Bit risky. What if Currie doesn't play and you have to swing Cox into the rucks? You going to be relying on Lee, Neade or Macaffer to play week in, week out?
