Seems the Melbournians have forgotten that Adelaide had the youngest and the least amount of games from the top 8 last year ::)

What about Mitch Grigg, Jarred Lyons, Rory Atkins, Sammy Kerridge, the good players just keep on coming ;)

The Crows standard of football could be as good as it was last year if the natural progression offsets the loss of players, and you remain injury free.

Being as good as last year might not be enough to maintain your ladder position though, as other teams might improve their standard so much that they leapfrog you. The Crows might still be playing football that would have won you games in 2012, but not against the 2013 version of West Coast, Essendon, Carlton etc.

They are good players at AFL level are they?

Trust me when I say this, our three most promising midfielders (no not Crouch yet) Sloane, Dangerfield and Wright are already better than they were last year, i'm not going into reasons why, just watch and see ;)

What about the spine? Talia, Shaw  Jacobs, Walker, JJ will all be better

Plus allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the young gun mentioned so far in this thread

Bein a port supporter I hope not. I don't think they will tho - collingwood, hawks, west coast, Carlton  and probably Richmond and Sydney will finish above them

Jay

Carlton? Richmond? Quit the jokes now guys

Cant be bothered proving why me and tbag are right anymore. The footy will do the talking

Robert Walls has them outside the eight.

..and he has Port at 18th  :o

It seems Walls is not the only ex Carltonite to be suffering CTE  :P

The spud Tippett was your best player in the prelim and Jenkins is not a replacement. He's an inferior copy which will lessen the quality of your best 22.

Tippet may of had a good prelim but not just talking about one game, i am not saying Jenkins is a straight up replacement. walker is going to have to take some of the heat. but to think that tippet leaves and the team cant fill his void is a bit naive

To finish top 4 you'll need about 17 wins??
Which means you'll need at least 5 wins from these games (expecting wins from the other games against GC/GWS/Port etc).
RD1 at home against Essendon
RD5 away against Carlton
RD6 at home against Hawks
RD9 away against North
RD11 at home against Sydney
RD15 at home against WCE
RD16 away against Collingwood
RD17 at home against Cats
RD18 away against Freo
RD23 away against WCE

I see these as your hardest games. If you get 5/10 of these games and win all the other games then your a chance for top 4.

Your'e giving them the Round 2 game against Lions which is at the Gabba and Brisbane's first home game of the season.  We have a good record against them at the Gabba so would not be so sure.
