got matty wright at the moment but tossing up with varcoe to save a heap of coin.

varcoe looked great in the 1st half on the weekend. looks like he hasa yarran type role off half back.

that said, i think the fwds are where you need to run deeper due to lack of viable rookies, so i like varcoe at f5

I'm treating the likes of Varcoe and Byrnes as rookies really, ie as low priced options to make a bit of cash. Varcoe, Byrnes, Macaffer all look like good low price options that have some proven ability. Not quite basement rookie price, but good money savers.
