I'm really liking this side! I have the 3 Premo backs, which i've been fond of from the start, 5 premo Mids who IMO can all go 125 this year, the standard ruck strategy and my favorite, not starting any Fwd rookies!

Cash Left 10k

All rookies are subject to change and may find players like Pittard, Docherty, Van Unen, Viney, Daw, Witts, Paparone and Lee coming into my side.

-Luke Brown should now be in Adelaide's best 22 with a retirement in their back half and looks to play most games.
-I'm tipping a big year for Hep and may reach the 97-100 mark.
-Dangerfield's stats on the weekend where insane and i think he can go 125+
-Very standard but great Mid rooks
-I really like Jacobs and IMO should go around the 110 mark
-Wright just seems to keep performing this Preseason so I've just had to find a way to get him in!
-Varcoe should make some nice money early and average 75-80
-Karnezis is performing really well after a year in the NEAFL (Averaged 28 disposals) and may be a nice smokey who has the potential to make nice coin early and average 80+

So what are your thoughts on my updated side??

Love the look of your side hawkers!
Cant fault the 3 premium backline, I'm very keen on Heppell having a breakout year and averaging close to 100, and this year with a number of midfield premiums losing their defensive DPP link, there seems to be a short supply of premiums that we can set and forget.
Mids are very strong, no issue with the amount of money spent,
Jacobs is a nice smokey, you won't see him in a lot of sides early on, a good POD
Karnezis is also a good option down forward, a lot of people will be going with Byrnes instead, another unique pick.
I'm not really sold on Dusty yet, but then again I have him in my own side so I'll start with him anyway haha.

amazing team.
great structure and great premo choices.
all should finish in the top 10 of their lines.

10/10 as a starting side.

Very good team.

Only issues to consider is that with such a gun midfield you are potentially losing opportunities to make money.

Consider this. You have maybe 13 keepers ( that includes 2 of Heppell, Leue, Martin and Wright ). So probably 2 of them will either lose you money or stay as they are which means getting rid of them.

If you could get another more likely keeper, eg Buddy, you are going to be better off.

Can you change those 4 into Buddy and 2 of them and some one cheaper.

Just a suggestion for you to play around with.

Nice team.

Just saw my first 10/10 - and for a team without Swan or Buddy!  :o

he still has 5 rookie MIDs to make money off, how is that losing opportunities??

take for example a 4 premos/1 mid/5 rookie team, they still have 5 rookies to upgrade same as him and are losing points too coz the mid pricer (moloney/ball/embley should avg 90) is not going to score anywhere near a super premo (120+) like he has.

Thankyou guys so much! Really awesome to get some in depth feedback. I'll be sure to give yours a rate Keeper. I don't see having the 5 premo mids as a money losing strategy at all. IMO these 5 will all finish top 7 with Swan and Watson being the other 2, which we get me off to a great start and still have the 5 awesome Mid rookies to make a tone of cash.  Yeah 12-13 keepers seems about right but it certainly has the potential 14 as i see Martin, Wright and Heppell all averaging around the 100 mark, give or take a few. Buddy has always been an Round 8 upgrade target for, so that probably won't change. Yeah a 10 out of 10 is amazing, but he did mention as a starting side, so not having two of the most expensive players he may drop some coin could be a good thing.

Again your thoughts are much appreciated!

Nice Team Hawkers and well Structured,

Will need to be careful with upgrades and a little planning with byes in mind as you currently have 8 prems with Round 13 bye.

Def: Heppell may break out but I have a slight concern with how Goddard may effect his scores,

Agree with comments on stacked mid you have spent $3,3m or 1/3 of your cap on the mids. However you have balanced other lines reasonably well to compensate. Could downgrade one to a lower priced prem if suits.

Just think you have a slight risk playing both Wright and martin at F3 and F5, If downgrading a mid would upgrade 1 to another prem.

Just slight criticism

Just ensure your rookies are playing round 1 and you are set.

Rate this team 9.3/10

really really solid looking team.. a few risks with the lower rung premiums such as martin, wright and heppell.. have you thought about downgrading one of them and upgrading the others at all?

You guys make some great points! Thanks so much for your input!

Do you think doing this is worth it?
Wright- Zorko/Walker
Karnezis- Paparone/Kerridge/Lee
Heppell to Shaw/Birchall

Thoughts?

Ringo

Heppell to Birchill will get you extra points.
Risky to go Wright to Zorks or Walker all have some downside but Wright is a sound option. Not sure where Zorks will finally line up in Brisbanes best team and Walker will now attract number one defender.
Karnezis just wait for teams to be named to decide,  If Karnezis is named he will be solid,
