Colli, will you veto your own trades if they seem unfair?

I trust him to do the right thing

Also, does anyone see a need for a 3rd ruck? With rolling lockout and AE, you should be better off getting the AEs score if one of your rucks is out. I assume it's also possible to run without a 2nd ruck if you like - and just take the AE score each week instead of a ruck's score. This would work OK if you had four strong mids on your bench.

Does this do away the need for a 2nd ruck??

I would also like to know what happens during the finals -- whether teams that have been knocked out of the finals can affect the outcome of finals by making trades with teams that are in the finals. It's probably better that teams who do not make the finals, or who are knocked out, take no further part in the game - either by trading or by releasing players into the draft pool.

My guess is Colli will need to be extra vigilant on dodgy trade requests at that time. Teams need to remain the same or close to the same as they have during the year would be my opinion.

Manbearpig

I think it's possible to go without a 2nd playing ruck if you have good bench mids like you do, SR, but if you get an injury anywhere other than the mids you'll have a problem.

Vincent

What does AE mean? can someone explain why we dont need a 2nd ruck

nostradamus

AE is auto emergency

But l've heard conflicting opinions as to how this will work

One train of thought is that any position player can sub in for for a player who is out

Another is that only a player of that same position can sub in

......l dont know which is right, but either way it will have an impact, especially for those who have 4 mids on the bench

I re read the rules today, and I cant see it being anything but lowest bench player score (besides zero) is used to cover and onfield donut?

Trading in jenkins is gonna hurt that a little....

pretty pissed i missed the draft.we had been out all day looking for a house.
crap i knew i missed something as well

as i said the guys who were here nd drafted balanced teams may stand to gain from giving you guys a positional player you need for a slight upgrade to a player they already have that you have surplus players on which are better.

going to need to do some trading by the looks, funny the guys who missed the draft ( at least a couple of them) have gun teams anyway :)

suckling is a problem not much you can do about him whoever got him other than drop him and fins a breakout candidate from the pool, plenty there IMO
are you really putting those guys up for trade CW? im keen on 2 of them but what do you want?

i put the fwds and defs up as bait for the teams who drafted too many elite mids on autodraft.

if one really needs a fwd or def i might pick up a better mid 6 than cunnington - that is my theory.

I think having a RUCK #2 is better than taking the lowest scoring bench players score for your ruck #2 score every week?

not sure you need a ruck #3 tho if this is the case with auto emergency.

however plenty of players get rested and plenty get short term injuries, so me i'll try keep cover for every line on my bench.

as for approving or blocking trades;

we should discuss this.

My thoughts are a trade can go through if the likely average of both players in the trade have a differential of no greater than 10 points?

however this gets a little tricky if someone desperately needs a defender and is willing to give up a mid who scores more than a defender in order to get the defender he needs.

bit of common sense and discretion will be required.

MY MAIN POINT WILL BE THAT A TRADE CANNOT GO THROUGH IF IT GIVES A TEAM A SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE OVER OTHER TEAMS BY WINNING THE TRADE BY A HUGE MARGIN

Make sense?

open to discussion on setting guidelines for ruling on trades - best to get a consensus now.

if there are any real borderline ones throughout the season , we are all on FF, so I can still get everyone to vote if it is tricky one.?

DazBurg

im open to trades offers i haven't placed any on the table but basically if you interested any is attainable for the right price  ;)
