just one more game like the last and you would have to seriously consider him wouldn't you, even if it had to be for the spot most of us have Wines pencilled in for

Going with both :D

Haha alright. So hard people won't get injured?

If anything, being 'harder' at the bottom of packs would make you MORE susceptible to injuries, no?

maybe you're right but i just felt that moloney and ball would be more durable and embley would not. just a hunch i have posted about previously.

that said it is baseless and ball still hasnt played a game so who knows if he will even come up for the start of the season. he will but it is not guaranteed.

still its just a hammy for embley which is totally unrelated to his previous injury. he will be back soon enough, maybe for round 1, but round 4 or 5 would be better from a fantasy perspective.

AND THE MAIN POINT - THIS WAS NOT HAVING A CRACK AT THE EAGLE PLAYER :) ELE  Embley has been a star and played more than 20 games in his past 4 seasons before 2012...

elephants

Haha I know, I'm just showerty about losing to an under-strength Pies side at home and copping three serious-ish looking injuries for our troubles :P

hopefully the injuries are not serious they don't seem to be, but don't underestimate the MASSIVE change to the WCE structure, confidence, having the best ruckman in the league out, and the second best in the league underdone.....

they have to free sselwood up to play as a genuine ball winning midfielder i reckon, without the ruck dominance (which will be back with nicnat and cox at full fitness) but until then they will have to WIN the ball and he is the man to do it for mine.

let smellingham do the tagging sselwood is SOOOOOO much better at winning the ball.

not to mention some seriously important players in waters, rosa, and that other defender? were missing :)

Gaff is going to rip the competition apart this season.

I think the Eagles were complacent tonight, and I think that is great for the eagles, a great opportunity for the coach to sharpen them up ahead of round 1.

elephants

Yep all good points and we really should work on the positives. Thanks mate, made my night that much better ;)

tbagrocks

Andrew Gaff = competing for the Captaincy at Tibet (but never quite getting there)

Colliwobblers

Gaff will average the most DT points of any Eagle this season. Put it in a time capsule, lock it in Eddie. Guaranteed!

tbagrocks

After all the weekend, might have Gaff as M5, Danger in there now too ;)  Fyfe can flower off

#worst preseason call 2013

pick 4 going into his 3rd season after a largely sub effected 65 he breaks out in his 2nd year with 87

ranked 5th in the AFL for uncontested possessions and 7th for meters gained...

outside mid being supplied by the best ruckmen in the league and some handy inside mids, why won't he be?

may be a little ambitious of a statement by me but will I be far off if I am wrong?

Only problem with this theory Colli - Shuey :D

Going to be a good season for young Eagles midfielders with Scooter as well.

elephants

Scooter for top DT points... Although if Coxy starts with a bang you dont know what could happen!

No chance.
Cox or Selwood.

Added Selwood tonight, actually.

Wouldn't Priddes, and maybe even Masten, be higher chance than Gaff?

Though, I will ditch Selwood if Cloke has another crap game.
-Selwood -Cloke
+Fyfe +Wright.

Fyfe had a fairly average week... but Cloke had a shocker. With Collingwood set to be a dominant force, I would love Cloke to stay in as the ball movement to him should be second-to-none.... but, he can't justify a spot if he doesn't play one solid preseason game.
