People still not realizing Walker is a confidence player and needs games st string games together, have a look at his scores when coming back into the team ;)

All he needs is a couple of good kicks for goal and BBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM

there's nothing wrong with being a confidence player, but the problem with Walker is he doesnt do the hard yards or 1%ers when he's struggling. when he does he'll be a force to be rekonned with

l've been really impressed with Blicavs, especially since he hadnt played footy since U/14s when rookie listed by the Cats. lncredible athlete, tried out for the Olympics last year for the 3000m.
But at 198cm l think its ridiculous that he's listed as a mid.......he's a ruckman/forward

Boom or bust in dt is a difference of 120 vs 40. Not prepared to accept the 40's. Should maintain average of last year though imo.

Yeah walker was very very poor, Taylor absolutely smashed him. Got Taylor and Danger in Dt Elite so very happy. Bartel definitely a potential starter for me in the fwds.

Yeh Walker was average but the delivery to him was awful. Still worked hard towards the end.

Wow-we, Jimmy... he has got to come into consideration now. Scores big in the big games, which Geelong have from Rounds 1 to 4. Billy Smedts definitely on the radar also, major smokie but priced ok.

My thoughts on a few players, after watching the game earlier.

Luke Brown: Started very slowly, but racked up a fair bit later on.

Jimmy Bartel: Was basically everywhere, taking unexpected marks and setting up plays. Did a lot of work up front and still managed to dominate.

Patrick Dangerfield: Close to BOG, was dangerous when forward but just seemed to attract the ball. The Cats sent Eardley to him late, so that he could find a bit of the ball after coming on as a sub late.

Harry Taylor: Probably BOG for me, dominated Tex (of course with the help of a few double teams on the lead), but he did out mark Walker in a fair few one on ones. Was also setting up backline attacks a lot more, as Rivers and Enright were doing in week 1.

Matthew Wright: Once again just seemed to attract the ball, especially early on, but disposal efficiency was very poor (especially by foot).

Jared Rivers: Really have liked the look of him in the NAB cup so far. Seems to have a fantasy friendly role, where he takes the 3rd or 4th tall and simply runs off or runs back and takes intercept marks. Cats like to use him out of deep defence.

Travis Varcoe: When in the back half, he was very very good. Knows where and when to run and attack from defence. However Scott kept swinging him forward every now and then, which is when he drifted out of the game.

Mark Blicavs: Really mobile ruck, who is fairly competitive in the ruck. Won't out hitout his opponent but will get his fair share. (pity he is listed as a mid).

George Horlin-Smith: Very good inside game, as he did in the opening round of NAB. The problem today was that he had a lot of almost possessions in that he was always near the ball. Also of note that he was rotated forward a fair bit in the second half (Caddy seemed to be doing that in the first half). He was also played predominantly forward, from when Eardley came on as a sub.

Sam Kerridge: Looked at home at AFL level, playing a half forward role with some midfield time. Seemed to have a good size about him too.

Brad Crouch: Preferred handballing in a lot of situations, also seemed to be one of those players who goes unnoticed when getting possessions.

Billie Smedts: Very good agility and versatility. Played predominantly forward early, with stints in the midfield.

Jordan Murdoch: Similar to where Smedts was playing, with his speed being his standout feature.

Jackson Thurlow: Very composed player, whether he be in possession or marking up a man. Tends to go unnoticed when getting possessions, like Crouch.

Mitch W.Brown: Playing on the second tall, usually, and holding his own. Dropped off and took a few intercept marks too.

Shane Kerstan: Benefited from his man zoning off at times, didn't look too good in one on one contests but did have the second tall at times.

James Kelly: Dominated the midfield, as Dangerfield did for the Crows.
