The player is Ricky Petterd..
Before you scoff at the idea, hear me out.
Im not saying that he is one to lock in. Not even confident that he will get a game in round one but keep your eyes peeled.

Petterd, a highly talented medium forward that has always had problems with injuries seems to have got his body right this pre season. He also has a new role at Richmond. A role that attracts supercoach points. A running half back.
He's still rookie listed and a long way off being a genuine chance to play round one but keep your eye on him in the nab cup because I thought that he showed a bit in Nab 1 running off half back and Dimma seems to like him and has basically offered him the position if he can live up to it.
Petterd has admited the new role has rejuvinated him and is enjoying the fresh start and challenge.

With the Lack of reliable forwards this season in Supercoach, Petterd may be one to look at if he has a strong nab cup and manages to be named in round 1.
He is only $240,800, mature aged, very talented and injury free at last playing a supercoach friendly role.

Shall have a look over the next couple of weeks.

Another cheap smokie from left field to look out for is Hayden Crozier. Uses the ball well, knows how to find it and imo is really pushing for rnd 1. Keep an eye out ;)

Vest candidate though, if he makes it! :-\

I have pretty much had my eye on him every season since he tore Collingwood and Heath Shaw to shreds. I think it was the 2010 season but every year his body unfortunately lets him down. Chris Knights is the other one. Has the ability to smash out huge scores as a high half forward pushing into the mids and can kick goals, just can't get his body right.

Kicked the winning goal from outside 50  ;D

T Dog

could be a "Cheap forward smokey "  ;D

Rowy

will probably miss the start of the season, after his left jab!

I like the look of Petterd, I see him sweeping off half-back for us, playing a similair role to Newman's old role.
Guess I just got to decide who to pick: Knights, Petterd, Varcoe or Byrnes lol   ::)

I wouldn't suspect there's much to worry about. Think he hit him in the shoulder anyway  ???

Mrp are that hot and cold ya cant predict it. They will probably come out and give him 4 weeks  ::)

Hagebear

Was considering him a few weeks ago and looked alright again today. Knights, Varcoe and Byrnes aren't smashing the door down yet so Ricky's a big chance.
