Mate for a newbie thats a pretty solid team!

Only things i would change is J Thomas to a rookie that will play like K Mitchell.

How much money do you have left? Daniher looks like he wont be playing come round 1 so if you could afford byrnes or varcoe it will strengthen it up.

Looks good but!

I would look to replace Pavlich as he is coming back from an operation..and heed what others say...  all in all a good team.. :)

:o. He's right to play now. He is only not playing this week because of the birth of his child...

It's obvious that you've done some prep work before putting together this team as it is clearly a very solid team and not indicative of a first year SC player. My initial sentiments echo those of noto07 in that J. Thomas is a very speculative pick, as any Collingwood supporter will attest. If he produces sparkling NAB Cup form and is named for round one then, by all means, select him. However, with his history of injury I'd suggest that there are safer, and probably better, options available.

I suppose one other thing to note, although not major, is that many people are shying away from Beams and selecting either Swan or Pendlebury instead due to the effect that Ball's return may have on Beams' scores. On the flip side, there is the school of thought that Beams' scores won't change due to Ball's return. I lean toward the latter outcome but I thought I should mention it anyway.

Def: No Problems here you have 4 strong Premiums
Mids: I also agree regarding Thomas go with either Lonergan or Kane Mitchell , Vlastuin is likely to a candidate for the green vest.Beams is a good POD.
Rucks: Standard
Fwds: Strong just need to select the correct Cash Cows. As for Pavlich not many have him in there teams because they feel he is carrying an injury and not be match fit.

Overall You have a strong team here with just some of the midfield cash cows need replacing e.g Thomas.   8/10

Very Nice team - Congratulations as a newbie but you must have done a fair bit of research prior to listing.

As has been noted just watch rookies being named for round 1.

Def: Solid -
Mids: Sound - Would get better mids than Vlastin who may be vest candidate at Tigers ala Morris/Grimes last year and Thomas as has been advised, Lonergan, Wines, K Mitchell alternatives. Like the POD with Beams.
Rucks: Solid - With Cox in the forward line maybe downgrade Currie/Gorringe to Rowe for DPP flexibility.
Fwds: Sound and I do not believe I am saying this but Pav could be another POD this year, If cash allows would try and get Varcoe or similar priced players into forwards.

Well done rate team 8.5/10 and good luck.
