These are the rookies on the radar that are not playing this week. Does this mean goodbye for now?

It makes it harder for them to be in Round 1.

Pittard, Toumpas, Viney, Daw, McAffer, Lyons, Lee.

POK252

Pittard, Viney and Caff still all locked into my side atm :)

ronl

I'm pretty sure you can add Daniher to that list.

Windigo

I'd be more concerned if they didn't play last round of NAB.  :P

That's when you'd think they'd be fielding there strongest possible team?

timmyparso

Pittard is being rested and Daw pulled up sore from last week. McAffer will be fine too. Lee has had a bad start so he would be a question mark for starting with the saints round 1

Ricochet

Melbourne said Viney and Toumpas will play limited games this year
Lee was always going to struggle to lock down a key forward spot
Macaffer and Pittard should be fine

Holz

am i the only one with viney out of their team?

I know he is cheap but the tagging worried me along with the reports of them limiting toumpas and wines game time (tanking anyone :) )

just have Wines Mitchell Omeara Lonergan Crouch ahaed of him at this stage.

Windigo

Yeah, I don't have Viney either ATM.

He's not in the revised list at AFL.com -

MELBOURNE
1. Jesse Hogan, 12. Colin Sylvia, 19. James Strauss, 20. Colin Garland, 21. Cameron Pedersen, 22. James Magner, 23. Josh Tynan, 26. Daniel Nicholson, 27. Tom Gillies, 28. Joel Macdonald, 30. James Sellar, 31. Jack Grimes, 32. Michael Evans, 34. Dean Kent, 35, Luke Tapscott, 36. Aaron Davey, 39. Neville Jetta, 42. Jake Spencer, 43. Rory Taggart, 45. Matt Jones, 46. Dean Terlich, 47. Tom Couch, 48. Jack Fitzpatrick, 49. Nathan Spark, 50. Mitch Colby

Mind you they called Mitch Clisby - Mitch Colby and Nathan Stark - Nathan Spark so I don't know how much to believe.

Pittard and Macaffer will be fine. They should play all 22 games if fit. Pittard will take Danyle Pearce's role at Port. Like Ric said Neeld has said Viney and Toumpas will be eased in this year. Daw has a slight injury while Lee and Lyon's I don't think are in their teams best 22 atm.
