Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall, Grimes, Goodes, Pittard (Docherty, Terlich)

Mids: Pendlebury, Kennedy, Selwood, Murphy, Sloane, Mitchell, Crouch, O'Meara (Jones, Viney)

Rucks: Jacobs,  Leuenberger (Rowe, Naismith)

Forwards: Cox, Roughead, Rockliff, Wright, Byrnes, Macaffer (Paparone, Neade)

7k leftover.
Happy with this team feels very balanced withouth buddy and gaz as they take a fair chuck of the salary! Thoughts and opinions on this team?

Youve got a mid priced player overload imo

Formulae: The diff in scoring when you compare the ceilings of players like buddy and GAJ Vs Midpricers Vs Rookies then throw in the "cost"of trades = a ratio of prems rookies and midpricers in that particular order.

Upgrading:

Yarran/Vlaustin to a prem/rookie

Wright/Burns to a prem/rookie

Would go a long way to restoring your team to a better ratio if you still wanted to go on without GAJ and Buddy...

AndreDrummond

Wright will be s premium come years end. And who would be a good downgrade from Byrnes seen we have so many rookie forwards?

kilbluff1985

i really like it should do pretty well

Ringo

Like the stratagey and selections - Only issue I have with strategy and the mid pricers it may take longer for rookies in fwd and defence to fatten for upgrade,

Team should go well though, Just reassess rookies in first round and select players who you think will rise in value quickly.

What a great team ... different and IMO pretty balanced
BACKS "standard fare"
MIDS a mixture of proven prems  guys on the cusp and top rooks (which Selwood??)
RUCK/FWD extremely flexible (esp with Cox and Roughead in FWD)
The risk:reward is high
Thinking on El Tiger's comment on the Wright ($438k)/Byrnes ($229k) => Prem Rook in the fwds
$674K (include $7K in bank) gets you a lot of options in FWD
The questions are "Are they better?" and "What job security do the selected rooks have?
If Wright gets to the next level ....
Not being much help but I dare say you will tinker with options as the NAB progresses

Nice team mate. I'm in the same boat started off with Ablett and thought no point having him shave hundred grand and get someone else and upgrade other areas as well. Give your team a solid 8.7/10 can you rate my team please.

I think it looks great, I'm trying a similar approach myself but I plan to upgrade some mid prices to GAj and buddy come round7 once their prices have dropped. Not that I think you need it but a good downgrade from Byrnes could be stringer from the bulldogs.

Wright is just one uneccessary if imo, Tex might slot in nicely for example , too many ifs add up to a high risk - especially when going in without GAJ and Buddy...

AndreDrummond

I caved in and added GAJ and Buddy, I feel disappointed in myself..

UPDATED TEAM
Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall, Hanley, Goodes, Pittard (Docherty, Terlich)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Murphy, Moloney, Mitchell, Crouch, O'Meara (Towers, Viney)

Rucks: Jacobs, Leuenberger (Rowe, Currie)

Forwards: Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Wright, Byrnes, Macaffer (Neade, Paparone)

6k left. I feel as though my first four midfielders will be in the top 6-7 scorers this year and also Moloney to average 90+ to be a stepping stone to a swan/Dangerfield/Cotchin etc.
thoughts on my updated team? Please and thank you. Quite happy with this team at the moment but you know how it is it will change four hundred times before seasons start!
Opinions please!

Haha no need to feel dissapointed in yourself mate, you gotta follow your gut and if your gut says get em in then what can you do.

I am sorry.

I have been pretty keen on both. They have been the very best in their positions.

Especially important to have the highest scoring player in your team as his points double each week.

Good luck.

Nothing wrong with adding Buddy and Ablett. You just saved yourself two trades.
I like the mid price strategy. With no GWS or GC, I think this is how you have to do it.

People are forgetting how many rooks made up their teams from the last two years that played for those clubs.

My only suggestion is downgrading Marc Murphy or Wright to a mid pricer (Varcoe?) Just to have some money in the bank, gives you some flexibility in the first three weeks to make a trade for whoever the bolter is.

UPDATE:

Backs: Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Birchall, Goodes, Docherty (Colquhon, Terlich)

Mids: Pendlebury, Kennedy, J.Selwood, Murphy, Ball, Mitchell, Crouch, O'Meara (Viney, Towers)

Rucks: Mcevoy, Jacobs (Rowe, Currie)

Forwards: Buddy, Rockliff, Wright, Martin, Byrnes, Macaffer (Neade, Kennedy)

11k left. Taken out Cox, I feel he will be rested at times this year and also with Nic Nat eventually coming back lowering his scores as Dean is another year older, my gut tells me not to get him, and my gut also tells me Dustin Martin will have a massive year as the tigers make the finals.
Thoughts on my revamped team?

tor01doc

Prefer Cox / Leue to Martin / Jacobs as Leue will make a lot of money if he plays anywhere near what we expect.

You can then swing Cox to R2 and grab Martin if he does break out (like he was supposed to do last year  >:().

Still room for NicNat and Cox.
