What are the chances Knights will cope the green vest during the (start of the) season?
I don't think he is an absurd choice for the green vest and at $250k starting off with the vest could result in a price decrease initially (or a very small increase)

Not 100% sold on Knights. Have Byrnes ahead if him at the moment and Varcoe possibly ahead. I think the best performed over the NAB out of those 3 will get the nod.

Care to clarify why you are not sold on Knights? Due to his JS or scoring potential or price?
I think Byrnes has almost 0% chance of the green vest and is cheap enough to be a good cash cow.
I'm wary of Varcoe.

I don't know. Being a Crows supporter I take a bit more notice of Knighta but I'm just not too sure on his scoring potential. The last couple of years he's just looked to be getting slower and just not able to get around the footy that much. I still think his JS is good but just think Byrnes 'SHOULD' score better. And possibly Varcoe also but that will depend on role, fitness etc. bit early to tell on all 3 but thy just my current opinion.

I have both Byrnes and Knights locked in.
I think Knghts will be great for us, we lacked a decent half forward option last year. He will come straight into the Tigers 22 and play every game if fit. We've seen in the past he can be a good scorer and also what the Tigers can do with new recruits (Maric, Girgg, Houli) and I think he's the best option out of the forward cheapies.

You could be right JRoo. And ur right with how the Tigs do well with recycled players. Just something in my gut is making me unsure at the moment. Hopefully he comes out and proves me wrong in the next few NAB games.

You say he will come straight into the Tigers best 22; does this also mean you think he will avoid the vest?

I hope he doesn't, but there is a chance he could. I reckon he'd be a chance to get the red vest if the Tigers want to manage his workload and make sure he's kept fit and injury free.

I wouldn't trust either Byrnes or Knights. In their respective NAB cup games this season they have been unconvincing and their roles haven't looked extremely dt friendly. Can't see either breaking a 75 average, they'll give you money but not that much.

Varcoe is a better option that both imo, has dpp and should average mid-70s, not for me though.

essendon2

yeah for some reason gut is telling me not to get Byrnes or Knights.

leaning towards Varcoe atm, Karnezis is in there too

Andrew

Knights looks tasty but some interesting points raised here. Maybe Josh Kennedy at West Coast is a better pick... Varcoe is locked for me at the moment but the other mid-priced forward I'll be uncertain of until near to lockout I think.
