Mat0369

What is everyone expecting it to look like? Right now I see it similar to this

Laidler Jamison Tuohy
Duigan Henderson Yarran
Simpson Carrazzo Gibbs
Robinson Waite Walker
Garlett Hampson Betts
Kreauzer Murphy Judd
McLean Armfield Curnow Ellard

Scotland to come in after his suspension for one of Curnow or Ellard. I think Armfield would stay in due to his pace and defensive pressure although he makes some stupid decisions

Mat0369

Waite has a calf injury and could miss round 1. Judd still has hamstring tightness but they expect him to get up. If both are injured I think Bell and Casboult are first into the team.

No room for Lucas in there?

I can't see it. Ellard, Curnow and Bell all ahead of him. If Bell and Curnow are not nominated rookies then he might have a chance then.

Ah ok, cheers Mat

Love seeing Ellard in there, so under-rated. The Blues mids are annoyingly strong so he hardly gets a look in :/ Gets a lot of vests too :(

But yeah, good to see he's rated by some Mat ;)

He has always been an interesting prospect. I was never huge on him and he was a fringe player last season until the injuries and he still struggled to get a consistent game. He shows glimpses that he can be good, but they are generally against teams that are terrible like Melbourne. He is not overly quick but he can win the hard ball. He played well last year as a sub since he could come into the game and kick goals. He is pretty much battling for a spot with Curnow and McLean. They are all similar players and if you carry all 3 you run the risk of being too slow since they are all tough inside mids who have iffy disposal. Since he is not super quick it hurts his chances of cementing that permanent spot in the team. He will get games, but it is up to him to come in and sustain his form for longer periods of time and hit the scoreboard consistently. If he can do that, he naturally puts on enough defensive pressure and can rack up the inside ball to warrant his selection every week.

+ 1  Think after his preformance in adelaide he will be named rnd 1  ;)

Mat0369

Ellard is out with a hammy for 5 weeks so Lucas might get a game. He kicks well at goal, but his disposal sucks. Reminds me of Masten in that he has some pace and kick well at goal but can not dispose of the ball well around the ground

silloc

Where is sam rowe in terms of starting 22

Mat0369

Don't see him starting, not ahead of Hampson or Levi.

Revised line up

Laidler Jamison Tuohy
Duigan Henderson Yarran
Simpson Carrazzo Gibbs
Robinson Waite Walker
Garlett Hampson Betts
Kreauzer Murphy Judd
McLean Armfield Curnow White/Lucas

If Lucas plays he will be the sub but I think White gets the nod since they have been using him as a swingman.

If Waite can't play Casboult comes in

truBLUE

Imo lucas will start above curnow due to a great preseason ,Think curnow may wear the red

Waite being out for another month is good news for Rowe
