Hows this for a team????

Def: Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Hartlett, Pittard, Docherty (Terlich, Colquhoun)
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, J.Selwood, Priddis, Moloney, Ball, Lonergan, Mitchell (Omeara, Viney)
Ruck: Mumford, Leuenberger (Currie, Rowe)
For: Cox, Rockliff, Johnson, Sylivia, Byrnes, Macaffer (Neade, Lee)

Cash Remaining: $0

I figure Priddis will go 110+
Sylivia 90-100
Moloney and ball to either crack 100 or be traded when they peak at 95ish
I know johnsons out round 1 but only going for the league win

So i figure 15 poss premiums plus leuy but a few risks taken

please rate and leave comments i will return the favour

Moloney and Ball won't be premiums Sylvia is capable but rarely delivers. BUT I like the team. Not sure how u've got such a strong midfield because the only other line that suffers is ur forwards. Personally I would get rid of Moloney or Ball or Priddis and get another mid rookie cos that's where the money is made. Then use the cash to improve forwards.

My team is on this page. Cheers.

I agree they wont be premiums but if they average 95 they will make the money i need them to so they can be directly swapped. The teory behind priddis ball and moloney is that i believe they will be consistantly up around 90 where as rookies will rise and fall.this will mean i can trade them out earlier and jump on any rookies that have been vested and are yet to make the huge leap.
Sylvia averaged 100 after round 12 last year and i believe he can repeat this form this season and is a bargain

changed slightly

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett, Hanley, Vlastin, Pittard (Terlich, Docherty)
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, J.Selwood, Priddis, Moloney, Ball, Lonergan, Mitchell (Omeara, Viney)
Ruck: Mumford, Leuenberger (Currie, Rowe)
For: Cox, Rockliff, Johnson, Sylivia, Byrnes, Macaffer (Neade, Lee)
thoughts??? i think its quite balanced

Mummy and Leuey stand out as a big risk for rucks... could prove the greatest move but it's a MASSIVE risk.

I agree you could have 15 keepers but they won't necessarily be the top end ;) Jelwood and Priddis, both nice players but you'll have the likes of Murphy, JPK, Cotchin, Swan, Danger who all stand a good chance of finishing higher (at the very least higher than Priddis, Jelwood would give that list a run for their money).
Sylvia... who knows what he'll do? I agree he's a bargain if he can find form but he's too big a risk for me...

All in all lots of risky picks which could prove to be absolutely brilliant decisions, or could screw you from the beginning... No risk no reward. Final verdict - a team I wouldn't have the balls to field, with the potential to be amazing or spectacularly crash and burn ;)

Comments on my team appreciated ;)

Better/worse is your decision, I'm just giving ideas of what I would do... but if everyone had my team SC would be a boring game!
Keep an eye on the Heppel-Goddard situation in the bombers just to be sure Heppel is not kept out by God.
For me the biggest thing is still the rucks. Up to you if you're happy with that risk, it could be a good one if Mummy and Leuey both go well then you've scored yourself two cheap prem rucks But given the plethora of available rookie mids, I would be downgrading one of Moloney or Ball to a rookie, and using the cash on Mummy to bring in a more solid option...

All just opinion dude, up to you to take or leave it :D

Yeah that's less risky but as gsck said better/worse is subjective. If Sylvia played in the guts and to his potential he would be an awesome bargain. Can't trust him personally but if u know something we don't then go for it.

I am risking Mummy at this stage he is an absolute bargain. I would watch Heppell too - maybe Hanley would be better but we'll see I guess.

Ive swapped heppel to grimes and watts to sylvia making the team

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett, Grimes, Vlastin, Pittard (Terlich, Docherty)
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, J.Selwood, Murphy, Moloney, Ball, Lonergan, Mitchell (Omeara, Viney)
Ruck: Mumford, Leuenberger (Currie, Rowe)
For: Cox, Rockliff, Johnson, Sylvia, Byrnes, Macaffer (Neade, Lee)

Mummy is worth the risk and Mumford could become possible goldy or mcintish but love him at that price leuy is risk but i think he will take brisbanes no 1 spot and could average 80-90

If you're confident with the rucks then go for it. My worry is just that they are both a risk returning for injury, most teams have Leuey R2 and a solid, dependable R1 like Maric/Jacobs. Mummy could be great yes, it's just that BOTH your starting rucks are a risk - I'm way too conservative for that ;)
I would probably rather Yarran or Atley than Grimes, but then the team starts to look very cookie cutter. Grimes could end up a POD despite lots of talk about him on this site.

Looks nice overall :)

Hoon - my suggested changes

DEF is good - Probably downgrade Vlaustin to Goodes or Stevenson.

MID - I would downgrade Ball to either Crouch or Wines.

RUCKS - Good, Mummy is a nice POD which could go either way! Hopefully in your favour

FWD - Sylvia and Byrnes are a concern. I think you need to upgrade Sylvia with money saved from my suggestions to a set and forget FWD. With the lack of FWD rookies, Byrnes but Varcoe it better in my opinon, plus he has the X factor

Good luck

Sylvia has never played a full season. Usually misses 4 weeks or so. Cloke probably a better option. Something to consider..
