All of these players are tipped to spend more time in the midfield. That's what makes this decision a tough one

Alll it will take is a 5-10ppg improvement by Hanley and Hartlett and they will finish inside the top 6 defenders for the year. I think this is doable and that both of them are worth getting on. Grimes will have to improve by more than 10ppg and I don't think this is helped by Melbourne being the worst of the three teams (IMO).

I think Hartlett will do it easier so if you have to pick one, take Hamish, but Hanley will do it as well so the only reason you shouldn't take both is Rd 11 bye.

Yeah true but if you look at the back half of grimes season when he moved to the midfield it was quite impressive. I think we all expect him to play the season there this year so he should score well from the start.
I don't think the teams these guys play in will have too much of a bearing. Brisbane are the best of the 3 but I would say Melbourne and port are on about par.

Need to watch Hanley in the next NAB cup matches to see what role he has.  Been waiting to see the set up when all of Rich, Hanley and Adcock play together which hopefully will be this week or next. Hanley has been training with the mid group so you can see why I want to watch the setup.

All three have strong attributes but both Grimes and hartlett have injury concerns whereas Hanley has not missed a game since consolidating his place in Lions line up in 2010.  So in saying that Hanley will probably get injured this year,  ;D ;D

Hartlett for me, nu,ber 4 pick, genuine midfielder at his best and has had a fit pre season with mid a certainty. Lock with 30 trades

If Melbourne wasn't so crap then Grimes would be the best scorer. If Hanley and Hartlett play the right roles then they won't be far behind. So Grimes for his role, but the other two cos their team sux less!

I can't split them really but I've got Grimes just ahead in my pecking order for D3.

I think he might be related to ben Cousins :P

Basically you don't want to know ::)  Former crows high draft pick

Difference is Angwin was never the crows best player, but Hartlett is ports!
