I read a very good article on DT, can't remember where from, but it said get who you think will be the top 6-10 in each position by the end of 2012, at the start.

That just makes it so much easier when your scrambling to get say a GAJ in who lets face it won't be dropping majorly in price all year IMO, when maybe there are injured players you gotta get rid of or there another player stinking it up. Just eliminate this factor by getting the guns like Godd, Gibbs, Swan ect from the get go.
hm yeah good point!
but I'm still unsure on
Ablett + Goldy
vs
Watson + Robbo

GM

Why do you need Goldy with your current set up anyway mate?

Toga

What are your thoughts on Hibberd/Newman at D3? Do you feel it's a bit weak?

Downgrading Heppy to one of these guys allows me to get Josh Kennedy over Longer, and Vlastuin over C.Heath... Not sure it's worth it!

Hmmm I'm not sure... I can't see HeppD averaging less than 90, so he's less risky, however, Newman could average 75, but he could average 85-90

Windigo

Would rather Baguley or Hibbo, even Russell or Harbrow over Newman.

All have upside, Newman is getting on a bit and has never been that DT relevant TBH...

hmm with Petterd getting elevated, I see Newman being on the wing for the majority of games ??? Is Bagley too weak at D3?

Could go:
Jack --> Moloney (m5)
Beams --> Ablett
Vlastuin --> Baguley (d4)

defently yes at D3 imo think D3 can only be held by heppel,hartlett ect not even sure at D4  :-\

that's what I initially thought this season, but MIDs always get off to a flyer, DEF usually start slower too. Last year the rooks were more defensive style players that didn't show potential (in DT) at any stage, but just last weekend Pittard scored 108, Terlich 91 and Stevenson 81

The last 2 decisions....

Baguley + Ablett + Moloney
vs
Vlastuin + Boyd + Jack/Ebert

Petterd vs Harper

Toga

Baguley (72) + Ablett (122) + Moloney (88)

Vlastuin (66) + Boyd (115) + Ebert (103)

Not sure about the other two.. Don't know what all the rave is about Harper, reckon you could enlighten me? :P

Hmmm, Harper has been hyped to play Harvey's role for the first 6 rounds, averaged 90 points per 100 minutes during NAB Cup, however, I think he's got too much competition with Atley, Cunnington and Jacobs; so I've gone Petterd ;D

Ablett (122) + Fyfe (104) + JPK (109)                    =335

Dangerfield (107) + Watson (112) + JPK (109)        =328

Boyd (115) + Jack (105) + JPK (109)                     =329

Option 1 wins for me... Include Captain's points as well for Ablett and I think you've got a clear winner. Otherwise I quite like option 4 as well. :)

Ablett (122)

You're dreaming mate. Won't crack 120 won't crack 118 won't crack 115.
