Heppell (94) + Hartlett (92) + Longer (70) + L.Brown (65)   =321

vs

Robinson (98) + Terlich (63) + Colquhon (71) + JPK (105)  =337

So looking at it this way, your set-up wins comfortably! *sigh*, time for another re-shuffle! ::)

Wow is all I have to say! :o
still rolling with 4 Gun MID?

*The wow was in regards to that blokes comments btw haha ;)

Yep, current set up (P-M-R) is:
DEF: 4-0-4
MID: 4-0-6
RUC: 1-1-2
FWD: 4-2-2

mids atm are: Swan, Beams, Pendles, Lids, rookies... :-X would love to fit Cotchin/Watson/Boyd in there but don't know I'll be able to :-[
so pretty much it's:
2 DEF Gun + 1 m-p RUC + 1 MID rook vs 2 DEF rooks + 1 Gun RUC + 1 Gun MID
not quite....
Heppell (94) + Hartlett (92) + Longer (75) + Whitfield (78) = 339
vs
Terlich (65) + Colquhoun (65) + Maric (100) + JPK/Murphy/A.Swallow (110) = 340

Toga

Thing is I have Maric in my rucks, Cox in my fwd line. And don't have Whitfield any more :-\

Might be close but I've just put a combo up in the combo thread:

H.Hartlett + L.Brown + R.Petterd

D.Terlich + B.Stanton/A.Swallow/M.Murphy/P.Dangerfield + J.Patton

...or if a decent rookie option comes up in the fwds I could do Patton -> B.Kennedy/J.Neade (?) and Stanton -> Boyd/Watson

I'd go Option 2, but I do really like the look of Petterd in my team

Toga

I guess we'd better wait until he's upgraded before we make decisions haha! :P

#95
Okay, so the time has come for my final team before Partial Lockout. It's been a long journey and I've come down to my last couple of decisions. Majority of my squad is locked, and I'm certain I'm not starting Caff on the ground 8)

The thing is, Essendon play on Friday, and we won't have Brisbane's teams until the following week which is very, very inconvenient as my structure, along with many others' revolves around Leuenberger. :-X

I might go Watson --> Jack, Leuenberger --> Smith or Watson --> Jack, Leuenberger --> Heppell.
- One risky option is to go Cox --> Goldy, Robbo --> Cox and Newman --> Heppell

anyway, I'd love some feedback, and thanks for everything this Pre-season FF xx

no spudlett :D

wow, didn't notice! :P

what are your thoughts on not starting Ablett e2? A bit worried? I've been taking him out of my team all preseason, only to put him back in again because I'm a bit worried :-X

yeah I'm a little nervous...he may come back in but I'm not sure. Leuy's injury woes really flower everything up, I must admit!

I could even go Cox --> Goldy, Robbo --> Cox, & Watson --> Ablett.
Meaning:
Goldy + Ablett
vs
Robbo + Watson

Goldy 85, Spudlett 113
vs
Robbo 101, Watto 111

Toga

Robbo and Watson easily imo but that's just me, not a big fan of Goldy!

AlexIsOnFire

I've passed on Ablett also, GC mids won't develop if Ablett is doing all the inside and outside work in the midfield. He needs to take aired hands off approach and let the young kids learn for themselves.

Upside is he is a tough match up as a fwd, average of 110 this year I reckon.

Alka

I predict 115 for Ablett. I've currently not got him in, but I think I'll have to bring him in.

Simply put, the risk is too high, he could smash it and hit a 150 and you would be spewing about missing that. It's not worth the extra $$$.

Windigo

I read a very good article on DT, can't remember where from, but it said get who you think will be the top 6-10 in each position by the end of 2012, at the start.

That just makes it so much easier when your scrambling to get say a GAJ in who lets face it won't be dropping majorly in price all year IMO, when maybe there are injured players you gotta get rid of or there another player stinking it up. Just eliminate this factor by getting the guns like Godd, Gibbs, Swan ect from the get go.

Holz

Ablett and Goldy easy.

Ablett will beat Wtsons comfortably and i would say goldy will be a higher ranked ruck than robbo will be forward.
