Is anyone else worried about Roughy's role? I've seen him in so many teams, even though he hasn't be training with the ruck group this preseason and in stead with the Fwd group. He also lined up off CHB in the Nab Cup with Schoey up Fwd (Its probably just a trial) So if this continues into the H'n'A season then you would expect his averages to drop to the high 70's and low 80's again like previous years.

There is a thread just up on this,

Can't see it being a problem at all though. If anything just another scoring option for Roughy, intercept marks etc. don't think he'll play there all that often. He's too important to a hawthorns forward structure. Possibly just another option if Shoey is being well beaten.

Not sure on the %'s but have...

Rory Sloane, JPK, Heppell, Matty Wright, Roughy, Luke Brown, and yes..... His name is currently in my side.........

RICHARD TAMBLING

He's climbing the ladder slowly Hagebear, the coach loves him, and with a d/t friendly possie, i think he could be in alot of peoples mind

Yeh it seems like Sando is goin to give him a real crack this year. I think we lack a bit if pace down back and he could bring that. With Reilly getting the odd tag now he could be out go to out of defence. Will be interesting to see what happens in the full length NAB games.

He has the pace and agility to be a run and carry player off half back. My big worry for him would be if some of the better small/medium forward types dragged him back inside 50 to play him one on one. Could find himself out of the team pretty quickly if he starts leaking goals to his opponents.

I had some spare cash so i turned Docherty into Tambling today. Should play more games and average 15 more points than Docherty.

How many people have Dennis Armfield? DPP who plays midfield and tagged heaps last year. Mick might free him up this year.

Mat0369

at anyone considering Tambling and Armfield. Dennis is a defensive player first, always has been always will be. He butchers the ball the majority of the time he touches it.

Vincent

Carrazzo is a defensive player too and he is a gun

Mat0369

Don't ever put Carrazzo and Armfield in the same category. Carazzo has ball winning ability and actually makes smart decisions (although earlier in his career he would rack it up and butcher it). Dennis is in the team for his speed and defensive pressure. He does not win anywhere near enough of the ball and he was playing a forward tagging role. He also makes a ton of dumb decisions with the ball in his hand. One is also a potential captain, the other a fringe player. If this is because he chased down Dangerfield twice and kicked a goal, watch the other 80 odd games he has played for Carlton in his career. I can't believe I had to even make this comparison
