Team structure looks good. I like the idea of having Mumford in ruck. Rate the team a solid 7.9/10. Can you rate my team

Good backs. Lets hope Hepp pushes that average up ends near 500k. Im worried Goddard will push him further into the backline :-\

Very strong mids, really really good mate

Risky rucks but the reward is huge

Fwds are fine

8.8/10

i think he'll get more mid time. BJ and Jobe will get the tags while heppell will run free. i hope  ;D

i know the rucks are risky, but i really do think mummy will kill it this year.

cheers for the rate.

6 out of 10 ... not bad but you can improve

You have gone for a lot of average players that will average 70 - 80

Yarran, Heppel, Mumford, Wright.

that is 4 risks that you dont need to take.

down grade byrnes to a rookie because a rookie will average the same as that spud.

remove one prem from your midfield (5 is too many) pick up ball or moloney as they will average 90 - 100

get a premium ruck.

upgrade yarran

which rookie will avg more than byrnes??
im guessing he'll avg 80. he aint a keeper, he's only there till he hits $400K then he's out.

great idea mate. i'll D/G a player who avg's 120 and most likely finish top 10 mids to a player who POSSIBLY could avg 90ish.

dkennedy

Very solid team. Good structure with Yarran and Heppell at D3 and D4. I like the idea of spending less money in defence.
Quality Midfield. All very high scorers of 120+. Towers is an interesting pick up. Do you think he'll be good enough to break into the Swans team? If so, he'll definitely be on my radar.
Mumford could be a good POD with others going for Goldstein or Cox as R1. Might be a better alternative to Goldstein if he is over his injuries, as Daw and Currie may take time (and points) off Goldstein. Will consider.
Solid Forward Line. No issues at all.

Team looks good but you need to look at round 13... a lot of your players are on their bye... assumeing you trade omeara and couch by then you misht just scrape through unscathed...

not caring about the byes this year.
half your team will be changed out by then.

as long as you have 18 players ready each bye round its all good.

its not about which rookie will average more than byrnes..... a rookie will cost you 200K less and average only 10 - 20 points less and go up way more in value. its simple maths.

yes Ball and Moloney will average 20 - 30 less than one of your prem mids but they will go up in value and will allow you to upgrade heaps more of your existing players.

dont get upset because I found so many bad points about your team. I'm helping you. Learn to take criticism or get of the forum.

wow, amazing. thank you for explaining it to me.
there isnt a lot of fwd rookies who is guarenteed to play week in week out, so i'd rather spend that little bit more on a person who'll actually score for me and will make cash then saving cash and risking it on a rookie or rookie priced player who might not even play.

Quote from: cuz_crew on February 25, 2013, 04:27:29 PMyes Ball and Moloney will average 20 - 30 less than one of your prem mids but they will go up in value and will allow you to upgrade heaps more of your existing players.

so you'd D/G a super premo (125+) to 2 guys who might avg 90ish??
ok lets do the maths here.

based on last years avg and improvement of some player. rookies avg is set at 70.

5 super premo's (625) + 5 rookies (350) > 3 super premos (375) + 2 mids (175) + 5 rookies (350)

either way you look at it i'll upgrade around the same time as you (when the rookies are ready) and will still have 1 more super premo then you.

based on your math skill i can see how your team will be amazing. do you even have a team??

Hey Keeperz. Isn't it nice to have SC geniuses such as cuz "helping" us out? I mean...because he's won it the last few years hasn't he? :P

Anyway back on topic...team looks pretty solid. Might just comment on a few things.

Backs: If Yarran fires you're all good, if not then your backs may need 1 more "prem" (I use that term VERY lightly here) lol. Yarran (under Mick) may just go BANG and break out. I was hoping he might too (he was in my very first team)

Mids: VERY strong here. If you want to sure up your back line, maybe look at downgrading say a Cotchin to say Fyfe who when fit and firing is basically a premium mid (he'll also be playing there more this year rather than floating b/w fwd and mids like 2012) so you should see some big scores from him. Then you could get that 4th "prem" in the backs

Rucks: If Mummy can find some goof form he'll be a great POD. So this like I reckon is very solid.

Fwds: Love the Zorko and Wright picks. A bit different there. I also like how (like myself) have gone without Buddy. I have a feeling 2013 might not be his year...Byrnes will make you cash with great JS as will Macaffer (bar injury).

Rookies: All look solid to me. Hopefully Kerridge and Docherty can get some good game time coz they're both gun rooks IMO :)

Overall I'd give your team 8.5/10 :)

Ringo

Solid team - Much cash left at all

Rookie assessment till out for another week or 2 in the NAB cup

Def -Little concern with Both Goddard and Heppell - Will Goddard effect Heppell.  Just showed up a little in 2nd NAB cup game when Goddard stepped up Heppell seemed to fade so just watch NAB cup to see if this could be a permanent effect.
Mids: 5 Solid prems
Rucks: Nice selection - So just watch Mumford and see how he handles ruck changes and his injuries
Fwds: Again Sound Zorko imo a bit overpriced for a 16 game player but has started where he left off last season so maybe not an issue.  That is my only concern with Zorks.

Very sound team 8.75/10

Pies1994

i like the side as it is extremley balanced & i like your team structure.

not sold on Wright but in saying that lots of supercoachers have him so it could pay dividends.
Id try go Zorko to Buddy cause i think Franklin is a must, could hurt you big time if he gets those 160+ scores

I have the dilemma with Byrnes & Varcoe. At the moment i have Varcoe simplyu because he has DPP & i think that could potentially be useful but i really dont know how to split them.
Whats your thinking with Byrnes??

Overall a very solid team, 8.5/10

please rate mine back: http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,72806.0.html

wright will jump to 95ish IMO. with more MID time he will go up.
you could also use dusty if you like, as both will avg around the same with more MID time.

not sold on Buddy, as it was shown in another thread contract talks does effect a players avg. With the hawks tough start his avg will again be affected.

plus Cox can also go BIG. 8 scores over 120 including a 215 and a close one at 119. and with Nicnat not coming back till Rnd 8 he will be a monster in those missing games. Zorko will go 105 IMO. shows no sign of "2nd yr blues" (yes i know its only NAB) but i think he will score well through out the year. and if not him i can change to TEX coz i think he also will score very very well (105+)

Buddy will eventually get into my team, same with Pav.

Quote from: Pies1994 on February 25, 2013, 09:04:49 PM
Whats your thinking with Byrnes??

i dont think he will do anything spectacular. with the lack of rookie/rookie priced player who will get decent amount of game time (just my opinion) its better just to spend that tad bit more on a player like Byrnes/Varcoe/Knights.
either of them will avg about 75-80. which will make them jump to $400K+
