Fame Game spudded hard though :/

Me to Mum and my Uncle who put money on half the field: "I really hope somebody like Sertorius or Prince of Penzance who are the longest odds get up for showers and giggles" and then 5 mins later...  ;D

Don't know where it finished, but good horses that aren't in the race tend to take it easy and fall away to last instead of risk injury by pushing the horse too hard when it doesn't look promising.

So the jockey on 2nd gets rubbed out for a month for being careless, plus a $20,000 fine, but gets to keep 2nd?

At least one of the winning owners has a strong AFL connection

"Gold Coast Suns media man @S_Wilson_ is cheering loudest right now - part owner in The Prince! Good on ya Wilbur"

Do yourselves a favour and have a look at the replay of the win or a horse called Wetherley in race 2 at Flemington.

Unbelievable win. Missed the kick, ran down the outside with only 2 other horses when the rest were on the better part of the track on the inside and won hard held comfortably.

I checked the Golden Slipper market and it is $21 in an all-in market with William Hill

Definitely worth a bet IMO. With the TAB is 31 into 9 for the Blue Diamond Group 1 next week but the part owner John Messara said their main goal is the slipper post race.

So I've come up with a top 6 that I think can win the 2016 Melbourne Cup

In my tipping order
5. Exospherc: That Caulfield Cup run looked special
1. Big Orange: Far better shape after last years 5th
12. Jameka: Best female 4yr old since, well, Winx :P  But She's flying!!! And She's Aussie!
6. Hartnell: I think he peeked a month ago but may have been set for this all along!
8. Wicklow Brave: Cannot be ignored despite not running in Oz, best of the Internationals I think! (Despite tipping only 5th, Based on never running here)
20. Oceonographer: Who could not be impressed by that amazing Lexus run at Flemington on Sat?

I also think Almandin, Qewy and only because of Jockey's despite never running in Oz, Bondi Beach and Heartbreak City have huge place chances

..........  Good Luck
