Who are the best ruck rookies this year, in what order?

Currie
Witt
Daw
Rowe
Grundy

Are probably the top five... what order would you put them in?!

1. Daw
2. Witts
= Currie

Think 4 and 5 are fairly indisputable.

I have trouble with the top 3.

Daw seems to have played well.... but, per afl.com.au writeup of tonight -

"With big men Todd Goldstein and Ivan Maric sitting out, North recruit Daniel Currie and Richmond rookie Orren Stephenson were pitted against each other, with support from Daw and Tom Derickx.

Currie impressed for the Roos with 12 hit-outs and dominance in the centre."

Seems like Currie is above Daw in the pecking order?

1. Currie, 2. Witts, 3. Daw, 4. Grundy, 5. Rowe? Maybe?

For what it is worth, Currie is also $5,800 cheaper, which may be handy?

Rowe got some decent scores today, top score for the blues in game 1 playing up forward (on Phil Davis). Not used as ruck in either game. Waiting to see if picked in round 1

thats what i go with
I hear you.

But, I struggle to see Currie then Daw, since they are both in the same team.

I can't see how they could be 1 and 2...

Could play each other week, I suppose.... but.

Here's my guestimate:
1. Currie
2. Gorringe
3. Rowe
4. Setanta
5a. Daw
5b. Sinclair

Reckon that the two Pies rucks won't see much action this season (Jolly / Hudson will take no1 ruck with Q-Stick at no2) - and neither will Daw (Currie likely R1 replacement with Daw more likely to be competing with Petrie et al for a position).

Gorringe will get game time at GCS behind only Zac Smith. Rowe could play early to replace the injured Waite. Setanta is close to a lock in the GWS best 22 and should post scores worthy of a ruck bench (plus is R/F eligible). Sinclair is a cheap smokie R/F in a team without NicNat early days.
