Backs, Mids and Rucks all look good mate

For your forwards, Pav has had offseason surgery and may be a little underdone come round 1, Stevie J had a brain snap round 1 of the NAB and got himself suspended for round 1 and Staker has injured himself again and is expected to miss the start of the season aswell.

Apart from that its a pretty good first crack mate

Backs: Great Defence with Yarran at D4 scores will be higher this year as he played with an injury throughout most of 2012
Mids: Solid mids although i prefer to have GAJ  In that midfield but i can see why you haven't because you would have too many  premiums that have the round 13 bye.
Rucks: Standard Would leave out Grundy and put in Rowe so you can use Cox when needed
Fwds: Staker is having a 6-8 week rehab so won't be ready for the first few weeks of the season look at Neade instead.Stevie J Will also miss Round 1 so you may want to either leave him out or leave him on your bench and put mccafer on the field. Pavlich Could be a Risky pick that could come off.

Overall: Good Structured team w ith some changes need to be made to the Fwd Line  8/10

Backs - Like starting Shaw, he is being underpicked and absolutely no reason he wont be top 5 defenders again this year. Keep an eye on Yarran throughout the nab, I'm a little skeptical on him and whether he will increase his output enough to become a keeper/gain enough cash. Rookies watch in nab. 1.5/2

Mids - Bit of a risk not starting Ablett, but its not the worst thing you could do. You have 5 solid picks who will be around about the top 10 mids, and Pendles is a good Captain option week in week out. Will need both Ablett and Swan in your side by years end though so thats some serious cash to make. 2.5/3

Rucks - Good to see something a little different here, like the Jacobs pick, keep him in. Watch both Luey and Goldstien in the later rounds of the nab to see how they both look, maybe downgrade Goldy to Luey. 1/1

Fwds - Three solid premiums with Varcoe an ok option at F4, keep an eye on Byrnes, Pettard and Kennedy in the nab too, can swap varcoe for one of them before rnd 1 if they are looking better.Keep an eye on your rookies here, kerridge might find it hard to get a game, the others arent certain starters either. 1.5/2

Unique/Strategy - Like the Shaw, Dangerfield, Jacobs and Roughead picks, not super unique but not common picks either. Plenty of good rookies for cash. 1.5/2

Overall 8/10 - Solid on every line with good premium options who should all be top scorers in their positions.

Advice - If Luenberger is fit in the later stages of the nab swap him in for goldy. Use the cash to upgrade Stringer to Byrnes/Pettard. Unless another forward rookie becomes abvious in the nab see this as the are to take an extra mid-pricer to make sure you make sure you have players with good job security.

I haven't picked Ablett or Swan because there bound to fluctuate! But if I downgrade Mac to Luey I could upgrade a midfielder to ablett? Or would upgrading a forward to a cash cow more benifital?

PICCOLLO

Reckon you've gotta start with a swan or ablett.  Those huge scores they get make a serious difference as captain.

maybe you could downgrade one of your premium mids to Moloney and then upgrade one of your premium mids to ablett? So like for example your midfield could look like;

Mid: Ablett, Pendles, Dangerfield, Cotchin, Moloney and then rookies.

Downgraded murphy for moloney and upgraded josh kennedy for ablett and you should have around $100K cash left as well i think. And i believe Moloney will get back to his best as he tore it up last night against the hawks and suns
