Pretty strong squad, I like it. Hopefully having this strong squad means that we can win a few games. Praying for no injuries though.

Grimes, Chaplin, King, Helbig, McIntosh, McBean, Foley, Lonergan, Williams, Darrou, Simon.

Of players that we would likely play round 1 the only ones missing are Grimes, Chaplin, King and Foley

Ive got a feeling the tiges are going out to really have a crack at winning this thing this season.
The evidence is in the squad named and a few comments made in recent interviews that ive watched.

Hopefully no injuries though. Just want a fit side ready to go round one against those bloody Carlton scum!

I actually think so too quinny. While everyone who's team doesn't win it says "it counts for nothing" every year, have a look what it did for adelaide last year; gave them confidence in their ability to win big games. Hopefully the Richmond coaching staff have had a look at this and try do the same - we are playing Melbourne, North Melbourne and Hawthorn in the qualifiers. Melbourne and Norths I feel as though we should be able to beat, and beat convincingly, while Hawthorn is a team that is good, we have a decent track record against, and we might be helped by the resting/unavailability of a few of their more experienced players ala Franklin, Mitchell, Hodge etc.

Given that we've named the big guys in Cotchin, Deledio, Martin, Maric, Jroo, Newman, Vickery, I too think that we are giving it a serious shot this year.

Jroo

I'm looking forward to seeing how these guys go:
Richmond:
4. Dustin Martin
11. Jake Batchelor
13. Ricky Petterd
15. Chris Knights
27. Aaron Edwards
29. Ty Vickery
30. Reece Conca
31. Nick Vlastuin
36. Matt McDonough
44. Matthew Arnot
45. Brett O'Hanlon
49. Steven Verrier

Oh it certainly helps. If you look over history, the teams that play off in the nab cup grand final almost always play finals. Even look back to richmonds last finals series.. We actually made the nab cup grand final that year against port Adelaide.
However you only have to look at a team like Sydney to see that it clearly means very little to some teams and they are only focused on round 1

Toga

Yeah agree quinny for those established teams like Sydney and hawthorn it does mean very little, but for an up-and-coming side like ours I think a bit if success in this preseason comp would do us wonders for the upcoming season 8)

Pumped to watch the boys have a run around tonight.
Will be keeping a close eye on Vlastuin, Martin, Newy in his new role and the new boys in Edwards, Knights, Petts

Keen to see my man Ricky run around tonight, hoping he gets elevated so badly.  :D

Potentially. Not sure whether I'd pick him myself, but I don't see why couldn't be.
