okay so firstly, i dont want leunberger, an achilllies injury for a big man scares me. Secondly i cant afford ablett and if someone can suggest how i afford him without getting luey im all ears and thirdly the basis of my team is having guys who i think will be top of thier position when the year ends

Backs Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, birchall, Goodes, Terlich (Docherty, Stevenson)
Mids Pendlebury, Watson, Dangerfield, cotchin, ball, o'meara, crouch, viney (K.Mitchell, Towers)
Rucks Jacobs, Goldstein (Currie, McBean)
Forwards Buddy, Cox, Rockliff, Wright, Macaffer, Neade (Kerridge, Wood)

thoughts?

Like this team alot, the only concern you would have would be to get 6 fowards on the park every week, not to many foward rookies with good JS. Maybe downgrade Shaw or Birchall a little to get some cash to upgrade Wood, Neade or Kerridge to Byrnes.
Love your ruck set up.

JimMundy93

yeah i had that same concern, but im not rushing into things. Im checking nab cup and squads for round one and hoping they play
if not ill probably go birchall to hanley/pearce/grimes then wood to menzel

Downgrade Shaw to a Cash Cow Tambling or Vlastuin
Mid: Downgrade Watson to A.Swallow & Upgrade Ball to Ablett
Rucks: Leave as is 2 premiums
Fwds: Leave as is unless you need to strengthen your Forwards

Overall Good Team depending on whether you want Ablett or strengthen your fwds which you may need to do as there are not many good forward cash cows. I give your team a 7/10

Haha  :o some intriguing advice! Get on tambling!

Like this Team and structure you have chosen,

Def: 4 strong prems -
Mids: 4 strong mids + mid pricer in Ball
Rucks: Nice POD with this set up one of the very few teams I have seen without Berger - No issues.
Fwds: 3 prems plus a semi prem in Wright,

If you are happy with the structure leave as is till finalising rookies after NAB Cup. Would try and get Byrnes or Varcoe into your forward line if you can afford it due to forward rookies being at a premium.

JimMundy93

you seem like the man with the brisbane know how ringo
what you think of hanley?

and is luenberger fit?

A couple of late night comments.

Ball out for a rookie and upgrade Watson for Ablett. Easy peasy.

Big men and Achilles - 2 words -  Roughead!

Do now with Ablett in and Leue as well you have heaps of cash left over to strengthen that forward line.

Could even downgrade one of Shaw or Birchall for Hanley who I think Rrringo likes this year with more mid time mooted.

Nice team too.

JimMundy93

Was gonna go shaw to hanley and then maybe ball to a rookie
What rookie though?

If you want to discuss players, go to the players and trades thread

JimMundy93

Just talking about my team mate
No need to be a White Goodman

tbagrocks

Yep sure, just say'n there is a place to discuss players

Hanley has been training with the mid group and completed all training.  Not sure why he was rested from the intra club trial and not named for this weeks NAB cup.  There is no doubt about him not playing in round 1.

Berger is being nursed along for obvious reasons.  Played half the intra club trial but only about 30% of that time spent in ruck. He is running reasonably freely and will play in NAB Cup Round 3.  Do not be surprised if Brisbane go in with a Longer/Berger ruck in the early rounds whilst bringing Berger up to full match fitness.
