Fault #1 - You have only selected 5 backs. You'll be at a distinct disadvantage when you come up against anyone who has that extra player.  ;D

cortez

Haha true, Add Brett Goodes to the backline :)

tor01doc

Naaablettt! No Buddy.

There's a double fault right there.

Couldn't fot Ablett in at his price, pretty sure my mids are strong enough without him and Buddy well tough start to the year, has this contract talk over his head plus will probably be suspended as well, will get him later.

Colliwobblers

i agree with no buddy

i disagree with no ablett.

GCS HAVE TO WIN GAMES !

they just have to its a business and they cant go through 2013 writing the whole season off to development and they can't have GWS win more games than they do.

I don't think Gaj will be stepping aside to allow the kids a run or playing in a pocket in defence to run damage control this season..

I think he will be required to SMASH IT and I think that is exactly what he will do. They have to give them selves every change to win games and that means Gaj on the ball and that means ridiculous SC scores...

for your opponents....

Jroo

Nice looking team Cortez.
The only things I'm not sure about are:
No Buddy.
Hawkins up forward (not 100% sold on him, but he wouldn't be the worst selection).
You need GAJ, bring him in and maybe take out one of the Magpie boys.
Besides that yeah it's a pretty good team!

cortez

Yea Gaz will kill it but will the young suns be still giving him the ball all the time or will they take it upon them selves to do things? He is a gun will probably be my first upgrade just cant see him being worth 70k more than swan or Pendles or 100k more than Cotchin or Selwood

tor01doc

Look at Ablett's draw early and maybe reconsider.

Bang bang bang bang bang!
143 171 140 111 126 last year I think.

Hmmm. Worth every penny, every year.

I'll see those scores AND double them.

Well the only way I could think of doing it is:

Out: Selwood, Cotchin & Hawkins
In; Ablett, Moloney & Franklin

thoughts?

There are a fair few teams floating around with 3 premium 3 rook set up in defence as a lot of the def rookies are more viable than the fwds. Unless your overly attached to Yarran you could trade him down to a back rookie and upgrade nearly any of your existing premiums to Buddy and Ablett. This way you loose one mid pricer from your list rather than loose a premium and add a mid pricer as suggested above

cortez

So something like drop Yarran for Osbourne/ Docherty and then bring in Buddy for Hawkins and Ablett for Cotchin?

The choice of which premiums to replace is yours mate that's what makes our teams unique  :D
You deff look on the right track though and i like your choice of rookie replacement too, i would lean towards Docherty personally.

If you were to do this I would probably drop Jelwood rather than Cotchin for GAJ. TBH I think your original team looks pretty good, I agree with the chorus about Ablett, but he is the only player I would look to bring in. So if you can drop Yarran to a rook and get GAJ in, I think that would be enough. See how much cash is left as to further investing it. Personally I think Tomahawk was too up and down for my liking, but he's not a categorically bad choice - I would just prefer someone else personally.
