Looking for a 5th forward who can score some good points and get upgraded within 10 rounds. Leaning towards Knights but they all have their own appeal. What does everyone think?

Im going Byrnes. One of the best value picks going around IMO

Well then Jayman, why didn't you vote?

You're 18 aren't you.

Because I voted for Byrnes and he has only one vote - mine.   ;)

I don't like the appeal if Trav is going to be put forward at times so i'm passing

I have faith in the ability of Chris Knights, dominated the SANFL stats when not getting the Crows gig and he can run through the midfield as he did with Woodville-West Torrens, but also scored over 80 when playing half forward for Adelaide when he was playing well

Should relish being "home" and i'm tipping a strong season as long as he's fit and over those pesky injuries

Actually ave 90 in 07, then 84 then in 09,  83

Thanks for the feedback...I'll take a vote or a comment...either way

right now looks a great pick.

Varcoe = injury prone, average scorer.
Knights = injury prone, hasn't scored well since 09 and is no certainty to bounce back
Byrnes = has barely played for 2 years. Good JS but is he still up to it?

Varcoe has an incredible moustache so I would choose him.

After Maric and Tex with the mullets last year maybe this is the year of the moustache...

Definitely starting with Byrnes at this stage and maybe varcoe as well if he can get through preseason unscathed. Whilst Byrnes might not still have many 100 + scores in him u can bet hell be good for 60-70 most weeks. Until we see some rookie forwards pop up and grab our attention the Byrnes, mcaffer and varcoe types are the next best option IMO. Slightly more expensive than rookies but I'd rather have them than a 100k rookie coming on as sub scoring a lousy 20-40. Which is all I can see in the rookies so far, until some form becomes exposed obviously.

will wait n see how knights goes in nab, but i think he has the most upside. out of him and byrnes imo.
