thoughts on going beams over pendles or swan??

It be nice to hear a coherent postulate put forward by a clever Collingwood supporter regarding the impact of Ball's return on Swan, Pendles and Beams respectively.

both. simple, who ever else you have at m3 m4 get rid of them

^^^^ this!!! Am tipping these two to be the 2 highest scoring midfielders by years end.

And yet the departure of Wellingham could free him up even more. Article on SC Paige suggests that Blair was playing Ball's role - so with Ball back and playing well, the 3 gun pie mids could go even higher!

read a stat on another site with beams having about a 116 average when both swan and pendles played, but it shot to 137 or something ridiculous when one or the other was out.. soooo jump on beams if, touch wood, one of those goes down  8)

Last year he hardly did a preseason though and scored 72 and 67 in the opening games getting his fitness back.
2- 72
3- 67
4- 106
5- 98
6- 137
7- 111
8- 80 - still had 28 touches but only scored 80  :o
9- 175
10- 121
11- 137
13- 128
14- 117
15- 80
16-143
17- 162
18- 109
19- 144
20- 170
21- 166
22- 123
23- 146

Bolded are the games with both Pendles and Swan playing. Taking out the first two games where he was coming back from injury, he averaged 124 when Swan and Pendles played. It's hard to judge because he had an interrupted preseason but I don't think you can go wrong with Beams, Swan or Pendles. If anything all three are underpriced but Pendles had the most interrupted 2012.

116 is still better than most i agree, and i do think that natural improvement, finding his place etc will see that average in a crowded mid increase even more
