Chris Masten? He was a highly touted youngster, was a high draft pick also seems to have finally found his feet and had somewhat of a break out year last year. Showing a massive ceiling, if he could just find some consistency could be an absolute steal for 480 k, thoughts?

FactHunt

I had him in '11 and swore never again... so much potential, and so frustrating.
I missed a lot of the Eagles games last year because I was travelling so I'm really not too sure, I'd like to see a much smaller gap between his best and his worst though... played all 22 with 11 of those 90 or less.

With Priddis, Shuey, Selwood, Kerr, Gaff, Rosa etc all in the MIDS do you anticipate he will get much time there?

I personally like others @ this stage.

colmullet

i think there's better more reliable value in the 3 fremantle boys than with Masten at that price

fever

if he played for a worse team i'd consider, but he's not ready to dominate in that midfield yet and thus his potential scoring will suffer. future prospect though for sure.

Hagebear

Yeh not for me. Was too pricey to take that bigger risk on, and far too inconsistent.

SydneyRox

PLenty of better value picks than him.

At that price there are better options. Mundy is set for a big year, or just pay the extra 20k for Fyfe :)

why mundy over fyfe out of interest?

seems like the ppl who break legs badly never quite get "it" back.

sprarepart

Barlow broke his leg not mundy or fyfe.  Mundy had ankle problems in 2011, but was on fire and a clearance maniac in the finals last year. Fyfe had shoulder problems last year but can score in all areas. Both better value than Masten.

fever

i was pretty sure mundy broke his leg too

maybe i'm wrong

I think Mundy had an injury they thought was a broken leg, but wasn't. Ended up missing 9 or 10 weeks anyway.

Mundy> Fyfe simply becaue he is proven.

He was averaging 116 in 2011 before he did his ankle and then once he regained his fitness in 2012 he averaged 114 in the last 8 games of the season

Yep this. Fyfe could do anything though. Hit 108 in only his second year.
