what is the best option if you have stevie j and are going for overall?

keep him and play a rookie in round one
9 (28.1%)
get rid of him for another premium and trade him in later
17 (53.1%)
choose a player such as riewoldt with a good start and trade him in soon after
6 (18.8%)

atm, like a lot of teams im struggling with what to do with stevie.. i hope they challenge it and he gets off!

trying to make top 1k for the first time this year, got soo close last year, and just wondering what people think is the best course of action. im currently thinking of replacing him with franklin, but i cant help that feel stevie is the better choice for the start of the year..

its only one game, but what do people think? if i leave him in and play a rookie first round will that set me back a lot or should i bite the bullet and get a different premo in?

foward line is as follows - Cox, Zorko, Rockliff, Stevie J, Varcoe, Macaffer (Lee, Neade)

I think it would be better to get another premo in instead (Stevie J has a tough early draw anyways) and bring him in around round 9 when he has GWS, GC and Port. NRoo is a massive risk even with the early draw.

He wont get off because Ballantyne dropped like a sack of potatoes to get the free kick so it looks like the force was a lot worse than it was.
Unfortunately this probably cancels him out of my calculations

felsty

the only premo i would potentially look at is taylor walker, however i still have huge question marks over him

noone else stands out to me, plus i need enough room to fit franklin and natanui in as upgrade targets (natanui may have to be put into rucks if i keep walker)

enzedder

Think you have to trade him out if going for overall. He was one of my last picked premiums and with no R1 start not that keen on him so now an upgrade target...he will have his ups and downs no doubt, though if he is playing in mids week in week out I'm hoping a bit.

Outski felsty.

You'll be glad as it will save you a trade having to get rid of him later anyway!  :P

crazy days :S

Jroo

Stevie J is an upgrade target for me, suspended round one and started the season slowly last year. Will pick him up later, as he plays heaps of games at Kardina Park towards the end of the year.

felsty

who do people think i should jump on then?

my forward line already has Cox, Zorko, Rockliff, ? , Varcoe, Macaffer (Lee, Neade)

fever

if going for overall i cannot see another option besides franklin

felsty

currently have Walker in atm... with a relatively easy draw he should go alright. i hope :S dont like taking kpps into round one though

You might think I'm mad with this suggestion but I would go Chapman.  Started the season with a bang last year extremely fit atm so could do worse than let him make some early cash and sideways trade to perhaps Buddy on the way down.

I am considering him. Need to see him play a preseason game or two tho. Talk is cheap, a lot of people are fitter than ever ATM.

Buddy.

If he pulls out a 150 round 1 against Rivers and Taylor, you'll not only be kicking yourself, but you'll be way behind.

The potential difference between Buddy and the rest is greater than say between JPK/Cotchin/Danger vs Murphy/Selwood/Watson if you see what I mean.

Feels good to have Buddy in your team. Just put him in, sit back, look at it and smile.  :D
