I'm at 7 now, goodes, pittard, staker, mitchell, viney, omeara, macaffer. Backline is a bit weak but allows for really solid premiums.

I think people have misread the thread, why would you have 3 midfield rookies on field? Plus two on bench that's 5 rookies from 10 players ?

And same with defenders

I've got one rookie in def, mid and fwd line starting on field at the moment.

I don't think you'll be fielding Staker in round one.

As my team stands currently, I'll be fielding seven rookies in round one although it might be reduced to six or increase to eight depending on how the rest of the NAB Cup plays out and who is or isn't named in round one.

I look like I'll be fielding 4 mid rookies - ie 4 on the field!!

Your team must be heavily mid priced.

As many as possible, hopefully around 10 would be nice

2 in every position and then another 2 starting in mids

Cant say that many rooks will be playing round 1, and if they arent named round 1, theyre not in my team

When will you peeps ever learn....rooks and premiums only...I foresee lots of whinging about midpriced players on FF at about rd 6 when those coaches that tried mid priced players have lost touch with the overall leaders

Especially those mid priced players that are coming back from serious injury

Oh well....just means less competition for the 50K I spose

You do know that last years winner started 6 midpricers right? 7 if you include Steele Sidebottom at $452,400. And he started 5 rookies.

I have misunderstood the thread ...I wont be fielding 10...I will have 4 rookies on the field

And It depends on what you class as mid pricers I spose...I consider midpricers in the 200 min to 400K max price range that fill the D5, 6, 7...M5, 6, 7 etc

456K as a forward is not a mid pricer IMO...but everyone is allowed their opinion....and if the winner did start with 6 mid pricers....which ones didnt work? And what were their prices?

Sure I started with JPK, LAdams, SSidebum and Dangerants but there is no way I considered them mid prices..they were like M3, F2, F3, F4 etc

I also would disagree that this is the reason why last years coach won the comp...sure it may have helped but by no means is it a reason to copy his strategy

Spot on bowyanger.

Tonight's team has 5 starting.

We'll see what tomorrow brings tomorrow!

Sapientia

I think I'll run with 6. It really depends how many premiums/mid pricers I expect to premium there are in my team.

Is that with no money in the kitty or a hold $ for league win?
