Selwood.

Do you have a crystal ball or something? Your score predictions are so confident. I reckon you should keep them in a list somewhere and see how they pan-out. If your even 80% right you should be driving a new Toyota  at years end.

I was referring to Joel. Scott won't make it over 100.

Ha ha. Crystal balls everywhere! ;D

If you compare recent averages (i.e. 2011 - 2012) against early season opponents for the two of them, this is the result...

Average against first 6 opponents:
Murphy - 112
Selwood - 113

Average against first 11 opponents:
Murphy - 109
Selwood - 115

These numbers exclude games where either player was injured and don't take into account venue.
So, stats say much of a muchness. Just depends upon who each of us predict (i.e. GUESS) will have the better natural improvement this season.

Geelong COULD potentially slide a bit this year. everyone is just that one year older. Selwood relies so much on his contested footy and if Geelong are being beaten in that category then he may struggle. Ive picked him the last few seasons and watched him struggle more and more each year that goes past to rack it up like he did in his first few years.

Murphy under Malthouse could be very interesting. I think he could very well thrive similar to the likes of Beams/Sidey/Swan. With Judd and the emergence of McClean as inside midfielders, think Murphy could be in for a big year. only worry is his limited pre season.

Whenever he's been in my team, I've always been able to rely on him to get me good scores. But the weeks I most wanted great scores from him he'd cop a knock. So annoying. :P
