Hey I'm relatively new to DT, obviously before we've seen any pre season footy it's hard to tell who might be the best rooks this season, but who are the locks that should be in every teams 4 lines?

Ricochet

Here you go mate. These are some threads from not that long ago.

2013's: "Must haves" "Breakout candidate" "value picks" "black listed"

DT Talk Thread #4 - Your must have players!

The_Captain

Gibbs, Goddard, Rockliff, Luey. Would say nearly all teams would have them 4. There are others that could be said to be must haves. But not everyone will be starting with them e.g.. Ablett, Swan, Wines etc..

Jukes

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Stevenson, Pittard.
Mids: Pendlebury, O'Meara, Viney.
Rucks: Leuenberger, Witts.
Forwards: Rockliff.

Jalapeno

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Stanley

Mids: Swan, Omeara, Crouch

Ruck: Leueneberger

Forwards: Franklin, Rocky

I thought we were saying who we thought were must haves?

In my opinion he is a must have because he will kill it this year :)

It would be easy to say the stock standard peple that everyone is saying but sometimes it is helpful for people if they get your personal opinion

Jukes

if it's who we thought were must-haves we'd just put up our teams.

I don't consider Leuy a "must have", he's a big bloke coming back from a long injury. I don't care how cheap he is, he's a risk. Much like Kreuzer was. Especially if he doesn't fire and you have to burn your R/F to get Cox in there to cover him.

hardnut

Goddard, Gibbs, Swan, Pendles, Embley?, Wines, O'Meara, Cox, Luey, Rockliff

Did Kreuzer ever average 90?

In my opinion:

DEF: Goddard, B Goodes
MID: Ablett, Pendles, O'Meara, Viney
RUC: Leuy
FOR: Staker

I think Gibbs and Rockliff are being overrated. I reckon they still have alot to prove.

He's had one good season, if he was a consistent proven performer then I'd pick him up in a heartbeat.

Jukes

I don't consider Swan a must have. I have him, but it really depends on structure. If you need that 150k difference between Swan and Selwood, Redden, Murphy etc do it and prefer gaining average instead of maintaining a massive average. Not needed, but still a good pick.

Agree that Leuey is a bit of a risk considering he's only had one good season, but it's worth it considering he is sub-250k yet promises at least 85+ which'll gain us a lot of money.
