This is my balanced team with a structure of:
Def: 4/1/3
Mid: 4/1/5
Ruc: 1/1/2
Fwd: 3/2/3

Reasoning for Picks

Def:
Hanley - should become a top 10 defender this year and a nice pod
Grimes - tossing up between him and Watts, if I get Watts I can also get Atley instead of Yarran
Yarran - obviously risky pick, will watch NAB to see how Malthouse plays him, might downgrade to Pederson or a rookie and upgrade fwds or rucks

Mid:
Moloney - seeing lots of teams with Ball and Embley and without this guy who is kind of awkwardly priced, so going with Moloney and Wines instead as I believe this combo will work better as I think Moloney has a better potential to avg 100 which could be a sideswap with an underperforming premo

Ruck:
Gone with the common combo as I cant bring myself to get Sandi and I dont want Mcevoy/Jacobs/Maric.

Fwd:
Tomahawk - young player in a good team, unique pick, should avg at least 100
Staker - hoping he shall come back in round 2, that way I will be one of the only people who will have him, bound to get games anyway, so I will be keeping him in my team until he does get one, as no other fwd rookies (that are 130k and lower) impress me (dont like the looks of Lee or Neade)

Def:  You have spent a bit too much Cash here having Yarran at D5 making your backs Very Solid can't be faulted If you want to save money downgrade Grimes or Yarran
Mids: Only query is Moloney is he the best of the mid priced players available
Rucks: Standard
Fwds: You are probably one Premium Short here or at lest get someone like Wright but you will need to get the money from somewhere defence look the best option

Overall you have a stong team which i give an 8/10

Team looks pretty good, just a tad strong in the back and weak up forward....word is best rookies this year between these two are down back so you might be better off downgrading a back to a rookie and upgrading a mid-pricer or rookie down forward.

Apart from that you other lines look fine so long as your comfortable with Maloney

Agree with colmullet that defence is possibly to strong here Would downgrade Grimes to a rookie and move Yarran to D4.
Mids: Sound Moloney may be a POD - Looked sound in Intra club trial yesterday.
Rucks: Standard - maybe look at R/F Rookie if one plays as additional flexibility.
Fwds: A little weak here would upgrade Varcoe or Byrnes to a prem with money saved in defence.
