Embley! He's too cheap.

Embley I feel will get red and green vested too much in 2013. Still have him, however.

Fyfe I reckon, will average about the same as the rest imo at a big price advantage.

Nige

Out of Murphy or Fyfe from your options listed. Could very well have a midpricer, underpriced player like Embley or a rookie at M5 though.

murph easy,

im staying well away from fyfe, just dont feel he is a DTer. wil average well but i cant see him being a true midfield premium. Murhpy has and i think will be again a premium.

Ricochet

Stick with your proven premiums.  Murphy for me

Nails

Murph is fools gold this year. Lock in Fyfe or McLean if you want a blue.

2unique4you?

just kidding.

Reckon ROK is a good selection too for a similar price, should tear it up early.

fyfe isnt actually that unique.

I will happily take a 110 common player over a 100 average unique every day of the week.

the guy averaged 106 unsubbed last year and that including games coming back from injury. Priced at 100 not sure why you wouldnt conisder him.  People are worrying if he can repeat his 2011, im thinking how much can he beat his 2011 by.

started the year last year by going 116 115 139 114 117 with the big game against collingwood. I expect him to start big against north.

If I apply my formula, with a modification to allow for our disagreements over each player's average.

Fyfe= 98-105 + 9-16 + price advantage
Murphy= 103-113 + 2-11

Price advantage
(522k - 458.5k)/5150
=63,500/5150
=12.33

Fyfe = 119.33 to 133.33
Murphy = 105 to 124

Fyfey wins easily, taking into account predicted average, predicted improvement and price advantage.

yeah but really that just relies on your predicted averages. plus you need to spend the money somewhere. I see murphy beating fyfe by 10- 15 points  if you can use the money to make up ground elsewhere to cover than do it.

the problem with fyfe is the same issue with redden, at this stage just doesnt have  that big ceiling to boost the avergae. whereas murphy had a 139 and 163 last year.

What about Jack for someone who is going to tear up early?

a) that 63.5k could turn David Hale, a low 80s scorer, into Rocky, a 108+.
b) Murphy will not beat Fyfe by over 10. Murphy at absolute max will average 113, while Fyfe will 99% average 100+, 80% around 105. Can't see Murphy going 108+, either.

I'd prefer ROK.

that hale rocky example is very unfair. people will have rocky already. So really it depends on a team by team basis. For me personally i cant use the 64k to gain the 10 -15 points.

If you can than go fyfe.

not sure why fyfe will average 105. Hasnt got that big ceiling i see alot of 80-110 scores comign his way.

Nails

Players develop their ceiling as they get older. Fyfe will be 21yo this season and should improve his ceiling and average. He has scored 137 before, so that's a pretty decent ceiling right there.

Redden did score over 120+ 6 times last season. That's also a pretty decent ceiling. I'm happy w/ 125s.

He also scored 130+ 3 times in 2011.
