Tassie still doing well, just sayin'

Siddle seriously embarrassing our 'batsmen'

You know, I reckon the current Tassie Tigers team with experienced heads (Ponting, Cosgrove) and Ashes hopefuls (Doolan, Paine, Hilfenhaus, Faulkner), and if they gave us back Cowan, Doherty and Bird --> wouldn't be far off from beating Australia! Sounds crazy, but I'm that disillusioned.

Tassie wouldn't be the only team either

A little disillusioned there I think Os.

Remember people we are in India. No one ever wins in India. England may have but that was thanks to some amazing cricket from captain Cook and a pair of damn good spinners. Anyway, England are going to lose a 3 match series to New Zealand tomorrow, so we don't need to worry there.

But we are in India. And only Clarke, Watto and Sidds have been there before. We were never going to do any well in this series seeing as none of our players ever face spin. And that includes everyone in Australia. Spinners never get a decent run in Shield games and so as soon as a ball starts turning from 3 decent spinners, we all fall down like a stack of cards.

Really it is the pitches we play on as well. There is too much decided in test cricket now by the home ground advantage. It was only a year ago that we whitewashed India at home and now they look like doing the same to us at their home ground. If this series was played in South Africa or New Zealand, I bet it would be a much more even affair, and I bet the Aussies would probably win.

Also Siddle becomes the first number 9 to score two 50s in a test match and then gets stumped next ball. India will be chasing 154. Lyon should be introduced early and it could be a close chase.

Oh come on Pujara was plumb there. That's why we need the bloody DRS.

Still, if Maxwell can get a wicket ball in the second over we could do alright here if we get a few quick wickets. I don't know if we will see any pace bowling for a long while.

First wicket now with Maxwell bowling Vijay!!! Let's go boys!

India look completely in control, 1/72 off 12 overs and need only 83 more. We need a few wickets desperately after the tea break. Once ee get through these 2 I wouldn't be surprised if a collapse came. Part of the problem is they have been scoring so freely, put a bit of pressure on them with consecutive dot balls.

Did I call it or did I call it?  :P. India 4/128, lost 3/5. Will still win though.

Hope Lyon can get one more so he can get 10 for the match. He deserves it really.

Boomz

Tendulkar looked like he was waving goodbye... Unlikely that he'll play in another home series again at least. But good way to end if he retires.

Julia Gillard should open the batting for Australia. She is impossible to get out
