MY SIDE FOR FOURTH TEST

Warner
Cowan
Watson
Clarke
Khawaja
Smith (again the series is gone so there is nothing to lose, but he made 92 so took his opportunity well)
Haddin
Siddle (apparently Starc is heading home for ankle surgery)
Johnson
Pattinson
Lyon/Doherty (should be O'Keefe though!)

Good side, but would think Wade would be fit? Or is he done (I rate Haddin over Wade, but the selectors don't).

Faulkner, Ferguson..... Hell, bring Ponting back.

I prefer Haddin to Wade but yeah the selectors don't  :-\

If we continue to play all-rounders then yes Faulkner is a god pick, but Starc could easily fill that role... Ferguson would add some stability to the middle order, as would (dare I say it) Shaun Marsh

Aha yes, you said it my friend. Too bad he is still recovering from a hamstring injury for a little while yet.
As for that team i would prefer Lyon over Doherty and still Hughes over Kwahaja.

If only Mitch Marsh was fit.....

Really I don't know about Henriques. Besides that pair of 50s in the first match he hasn't done anything. Don't think he has anymore double figure scores and only 2 wickets. Anyone still keen to take him to the Ashes?

JBs-Hawks

Mitch Marsh is fit, but he needs first class runs and wickets before considered.

I think he has just come back from hamstring surgery in the last few weeks so has just starting building to bowling, don't know if he has started bowling yet?

Personally I think he will be a gun and has Flintoff like skills. If he can get over his off-field issues he could also one day captain Australia, has great on-field leadership qualities.

JBs-Hawks

He just batted and bowled in the losing WA side ;)

Adding up the tour averages thus far then our batting line up will make 210. If you add the career averages then it will be 301. This is probably the weakest test batting line up in the history of Australian Cricket. The best career average is 40 to Warner and he is out for a duck!

Tominator

Warner is not a Test player!!!

And khawaja is the only player on tour yet to play a Test this series....

How is Warner not a test player?

You're living in the past mate, look at all his recent innings. He has adapted and IS a test player.

yeah spot on mate. just because he may play an extravagant shot or two, doesn't mean he's not a test player. i'm not sure on averages but i think he'd be close to averaging the second most for us in recent history. we have much... much bigger problems than Warner

BB67th

Warner will be a very good opener for the next decade. He has proven himself as a test player, really him and Clarke are the only two in the team right now that have proven themselves at test quality batsmen.

fidou

Warner has the best average of the current team at 40.
