Agree with Tendulkar here. The umpires are allowed to ask the 3rd about whether a not a catch is clean, but at the same time can see whether or not there was an edge. Good on Marais Erasmus there for doing a sneaky review to see what really happened. Take that BCCI!

Cowan is doing his job, was dropped early on though. Warner and Hughes both out sweeping. Hughes is absolutely hopeless against spin, I just saw a stat that said in his last 39 balls against spin, he has made 0 runs and been dismissed 4 times  ::). Never liked or was, convinced with him give Ussie the chance he deserves!

Phil can't play spin yet, but I think he can learn for later tours. If we are to succeed in the Ashes we need Hughes to fire and to make some big scores. Dropping him now would have no use at all.

This series Ashwin has bowled to Hughes 44 times, got him out 3 times and conceded 1 run.

Hughes has been out to spin 4 times for a total of 25 runs. I would much rather have Khawaja play against India first of all, and also in the ashes.  We must be competitive in this series, and what is the point of playing Hughes if he will do "complete crap"? That will do no good for his confidence or that of Australia.
