Had an arthroscope and drained fluid on his bad knee, will miss 2-3 weeks. Remains a chance, but now doubtful for Round 1

in even worse news for the guys who had him as a unique pick

"And he's no guarantee to force our other young ruckman out of a position in our best team either" - Chris Scott

Capper

Surely he is in the best 22. Clearly to me he is in front of JPOD up front.

He will be our number one ruck..

SydneyRox

Surely that isnt what Hmac or any potential Hmac owners want to hear though, the coach saying he is not guaranteed to play.

You would have thought Scott could have been a bit more supportive of a "new" recruit

My comment was more in reference to him vying for a spot against JPod haha.

Yeh exactly, if you were considering him, surely would have to put a line through him now, such an injury prone player. I believe Geelong will employ the 'Ottens' tactic for HMac, have him up and running for finals, hopefully playing around 14-17 matches for the year, that'll be plan A anyway haha.

Yep will be there #1 ruckmen.
I think the Cats will play three key fwds, Hawkins, JPod and Vardy

I was just listening to the news on the radio and apparently the Cats are bringing West over here for the NAB and he will have the sole ruck duties.

Between injuries and his high starting price not a viable option to me. Someone like Jacobs much better if you want a point of difference.

Yeah I love how know ones talked about Jacobs. He's on my watch list atm.
Out of him, Maric and Goldy

Exactly, injury free, no 1 ruck, good side, averages over 100 last year. Between him, godly, roughy and Sandi if he looks fit.
