i have heard a lot of things about david armitage. is he a lock or is there someone else around his price better

I'm still tossing up between Armitage, Masten and Mackay and maybe one or two others.

He's definately worth considering!

Armitage might be starting on the bench, for what it's worth (probably not much) afl.com.au predicts the following as St Kildas starting midfield.

C: Jason Gram, Leigh Montagna, Brett Peake
Foll: Michael Gardiner, Lenny Hayes, Clint Jones

he is locked in mine atm, but if he is not a walk up starter in round 1, then im off the band wagon. Not keeping him round at that price if he is not going to play.

but for price, im not sure who else to pick. do i get another rookie and hope the play games and are a cash cow, or is there someone who is better value. im stuck with what to do, should armitage not play...

If armitage isnt a round 1 starter then scale down to Mcveigh.

Save 60k and use it elsewhere. I'd be surprised if Armitage isnt a regular this year, he was drafted in 06 and has impressed when given a chance, with Luke Ball and Lovett out, he should be able to get games.

only 1 prob with mcveigh....pretty sure he is out for round one. but i could be wrong. just have to have cover for him

it's almost the ultimate dream team paradox: watching the nab cup to get an indication of a player's form, when it can be contrary to what happens from round 1 onwards.

i still don't believe all the hype around this guy. he has had a good preseason and played 3 games last year. on the rise but still.....
if lyon didn't like ball at the same position what makes this guy any better?

I agree, with anaverage of around 90, where is the upside to this guy? there are much better value players out there. Also the fact that he only played 3 games has to raise questions about whether he can be consistent at AFL level

brodman he only needs and average of about 75 to increase value. IMO after watching the legend do what the did and win the game for the saints he's in my team. as much as i hate the saints surely Lyon can't overlook him
at least i hope not
