SC scores of 135 to Hartlett and 103 to Armstrong is good signs for my defence :)

Add to that scores of 115 for Masten, 104 for Minson, 103 for Duncan, and 95 for Jacobs and things look bright :)

(yes I know it's only preseason)

Cheers Daz and at least you had Emergencies to cover them KB :P.

Wellington and Toronto didn't name a Captain or a Vice in their Pre-Season. That's a bold move by them, lets see if it'll pay off Cotton!

*Had to throw in that reference :P.

Asia-Pacific
Seoul Magpies - 1197. HUGE score to top the group lead from the front by Danger's 248! Kelly (124), Duffield (113) and Bolton (111) was certainly the highlights for the Magpies under new Coaches! Great way to kick off their first match in charge, even if just Pre-Season. Jordan Roughead's 77 and Jake Lloyd's 85 probably won't be overlooked as they will be aiming to crack into this side!

New Delhi Tigers - 920. MASSIVE 240 from Captain Joey Montagna along with Blair's 87 were the only real stand out performances for the side. Mullett showing potential though with a solid 72. Knocking on the door for the side is Matthew White with his 67.

Tokyo Samurais - 877. Scotty Selwood continuing where he left off last year with 111 and Shuey's 91 was good backup. Carlisle (82) and Lewis Jetta (79) look ready to step up their game for the Samurais this season as it was a solid all round effort from the team. Stratton, Daniel Stewart and Ross all making a move to get into the team for next week with scores in the 60's!

Pacific Islanders - 799. Rocky managed 106 as Captain with de Boer (79) and Sam Gibson (75) being the best individual performers in the side. J. Simpkin, Tomlinson, Cunningham and J. Frost all potentially call ups for the coming week or two after scoring well in the 50's.

Beijing Bears - 786. Big effort from Harry Taylor scoring 124 backed up well by Big Cornelius with his 94. Could have pulled a bigger score if Rosa was able to stay on more. Kane Mitchell should be knocking on the door for the Bears after he was left out of the squad, only to notch up 100! Also expect Wines and Neville Jetta to be looked at in the future.

Wellington Warriors - 762. No Captain or Vice named so bottom of the group. Solid performances but no stand outs for the Warriors this round. Marc Murphy's 81 and first year Lachie Whitfield's 89 led the team. They would be happy with Whitfield's score and hope it's just a sign of things to come this season! Emergencies were called upon as well.

Europe-Africa
Berlin Brewers - 926. Franklin did well as Captain amassing 198. Magner managed 98 but the highest scoring non-captain player goes to an emergency in James Sellar who came in for 101! Purple would be very happy with him able to do so well to fill in down back. Everitt's 93 will certainly put him in contention for a first team call up in the near future.

London Royals - 898. A massive 216 from Captain brent Stanton led the team with Hannebery being great backup with his 104 as well. Unnamed Tuohy making a play for a call up with his 65, scoring higher than more than half of the team named this week!

Dublin Destroyers - 872. Redden's 132 as Captain was solid but it was Rance's 103 that stole the show for Dublin. They'd be very happy Rance has found a potentially high scoring role in the lineup. Mundy looking nice this pre-season with an 85.

Cairo Sands - 871.5. Hanley was a tad let down as captain with Armitage (98), Douglas (94) and Grigg (83) picking up the slack. Matt Jones gets the late call up as a replacement for Hams playing OOP.

PNL Reindeers - 839. Captain Priddis's 176 was backed up with new ruckman Griffin's 82 and Ray's 88. Ray has certainly shown he can perform given the chance.

Cape Town Cobras - No Team.

Americas and Russia
Mexico City Suns - 1123. WHOPPING score with Goddard's 164 as Captain combined with Bartel's 114 and Sidebottom's 109. Was a great all round effort from the side with Pfeiffer the lowest scorer with 26. They could have managed a larger score had Baguley played, his 107 going to put pressure on Maca to try and fit him into this strong side!

Sao Paulo Pumas - 1008. Masten stood up as Captain with 226! With Hartlett's 98, Jacob's 80, Armstrong's 92 not to mention a great team effort, shows why they are one of the top teams from last year and set to contend again! Minson (66) and Porplyzia (60) couldn't even be named as emergencies shows that there is depth as well to the Pumas lineup! All done without Ablett, Sloane, Roughead, Waters and Zaharakis.

Moscow Spetnaz - 945. Very solid scores from Griffen (99), Shaw (91) and Treloar (90) with fairly decent backup enabled Moscow to perform pretty well in the group of death. Seedsman gets called in as an emergency to cover for Dixon in the Ruck. You'd imagine Meowmeow will be very pleased with Treloar, been bragging all pre-season that he will average over 100 this season and he may be quite right! Martin Clarke (75) and Colquhoun (78) also performing well to try and get their chance at first team action.

Buenos Aires Armadillos - 862.5. Alot of solid performances but nothing spectacular in the pre season. Swan scored 140 as Captain with Cox (81) and Boyd (98) being the only other notable scorers. Nails would be shaking his head at some of the performances and hope for them to pick up their game next week!

Toronto Wolves - 858. Late submission of the team and left out a Captain/Vice sadly. Also required emergencies named! Lucky for them it included Clint Jones' 87 to join Pendlebury's 99, Robinson's 99 and Zorko's 90 as the best players for the round.

New York Revolution - No Team.

The match ups will be up tommorrow night as tired after doing all that.

Seoul, Berlin and Mexico City all top the groups! Pumas also advance to the finals after cracking the 1000 mark. Berlin may have scored the lowest of the 4 but did finish a respectable 5th highest overall for the round, so they can certainly pick it up next round! Seoul the suprise packet though, nobody saw that coming :o. The new coaches would be thrilled with that score!

JBs-Hawks

Great write up mate :)

Yes we will certainly take notice of Lloyd now that you mentioned him :P

CrowsFan

Nice wire up HP :)

As the second chancer I'm assuming I play Seoul since they were the highest scoring team? Could be tough!

Nails

Great work Harry Potter

nice write ups, shame my team sucks.

Was the plan as you were the Wildcard entry into the Final 4. But is a tough call as Berlin was a bit behind you scoring wise anyway, but anything can happen :P.

And cheers guys, hopefully next week won't be as late as I'll get on top of things on the weekend.

kilbluff1985

HP do you have a list for the Samurai that you could PM me please?

and do we have games this week? assuming so just double checking

ossie85

So is that Magpies v Brewers, Suns v Pumas? Looks good!!

HP, that's a terrific write-up - well done! Getting excited for the final 4.

Bad luck to Moscow missing out.....

Well done to my former team! The new regime is showing some real grunt! And happy for the team I coached this week Berlin to qualify. I reckon Berlin qualifying is the biggest upset based on last year's results
