Chopps

great side, cant see much to adjust only suggestions i can think of is Heppel over Birchall and use some of that 85 to up martin unless you think he is going to smash it in which case i need to find a way to fit him back in :D

Football Factory

I like it we have about 7 different players  ;D

betch ya

not a bad team there.

havent heard much on sandi and how hes goin with his toe - could be a bit of a risk. if anything id say a bit more strength in the defense, sandi - goldstein, move staker to the backs and bring in varcoe in the FWD line

Can't fault any of your rookie selections

The main dislike I have is the feel of your team, which may be hard to explain tbh. Although there are now major faults with your team and all-round it's a pretty decent side, it doesn't really stand out from all the others I've looked at, and I expected much more from such a legend. My team has my risky/unique midfield and forward premiums with blokes like Selwood, Stanton, Riewoldt, Siposs, etc. Your team is just...standard? Not enough PODs sums it up alright.
Anyway, onto the small things I actually don't like.
Ablett- we all know why. And no, it's not because I'm jealous of his hair.
Cox over SJ- do you really value the dpp link over SJ scoring 5-8 points more each week?

Ratings
Backs: 8.25/10
Mids: 8.75/10
Rucks: 8/10
Forwards: 8/10
Overall: 8.27/10 it's alright but I expected much more from you, like an 8.5 or so.

Hope I wasn't too harsh.

Not harsh at all. Just good, constructive criticism.

Anyway, I know you love your uniques, but sometimes it's just better to pick the simple and proven premo's, even if it is a little boring. :P

I don't think it's completely standard though. Instead of going completely risky, I just picked a few players who I think will finish in the top 6-8 of their position, but are also a little unique - Stanley, Birchall and Robinson are examples of this. Sandi is also semi-unique too.

I didn't pick Cox because of the DPP link (it's pretty irrelevent IMO). I picked him because I think he'll be in the top 5 averaging forwards in the first month or so.

I know your 'current' feelings behind Ablett, but I wouldn't be surprised to see you start with him come round 1. Let's be honest, you change your mind on players all the time. You were 100% sold on Matty Wright and he is now gone from your team. You were completely 'anti-Swan', but he is also in your team. You were also confident in Lake averaging 95+, but I saw you predicting him for an 88 average or something recently. You are currently going though the Siposs phase. :P The list goes on.

Also on Ablett - we both know he isn't going to average 114 or whatever. You just cant justify paying that much for a guy whose in so many teams as you like to be unique. He will average 120+ comfortably. I think you're just trying to convince yourself not to start him at his price. ;)

Cheers for the feedback.

@ Jukes

With Cox for me its more like cover for Leuey if he is crap and injured ill trade Leuey and move Cox straight into the rucks using the new rule they implemented last year and put in the best rook/midpricer i can find into the Forward line .. you dont necessarily need the dpp link + Cox is a top 6 forward easy .. and S.J will drop early and is a better upgrade target.

I will chop off my mullet and never speak of boxxy again if I start with Ablett.

I was never "anti-swan", I was/am against the SwAblett combo.

Cox's finger will probably keep him out a week or two of the regular season at this stage, his absolute best case prognosis on the badly dislocated finger was that he'd only play the last nab cup game, due to the ruckman's reliance on the hands there is a massive chance of reinjury. Even though SJ has started slowly in recent years, he'll still score more than Cox in the first month and the whole season.

Sorry Adamant ..didnt mean to write so much crap in your thread  :-[

Thats what pisses me off with the AFL they cant even get the injury updates right

Thanks Jukes

Colliwobblers

hanley or heppell over birchall but not a big deal birchall is solid.

murphy not a fan of him in DT. you have cash i would get boyd he doesn't miss games and is still the prime mover in the dogs midfield.

more so becasue all 4 of ablett swan pendles and murphy share the same bye also. which also includes adelaide and essendon which is why i say boyd over watson or thompson or Beams.

fyfe is tempting me for mid 5 also.

sandi is scary with injury at 30 but there is no better when fit and if he gets injured trading him is easy and painless with the new rules.

rooks don't matter until after nab cup we will all know more.

i like it, not a fan of robbo but he has huge potential, martin should bounce back rocky is a lock, and cox is a wait and see with this finger business but if he is fit and nicnat isnt he is almost a must have for starting side?

as i said i like it nice team, but i do prefer beams over pendles for DT. bit of a risk but again the trade rules make it worth it.
