Yes i do i have a lot of doubts starting Pavlich could very well be an upgrade target later on in the season facing GWS, Melbourne, Port and St Kilda in the final 4 rounds.

Will monitor Pavlich thoroughly throughout the NAB cup hopefully he can play a match or 2 and regain fitness if not would have to look for a replacement.

betch ya

good team, id be a bit concerned about hartlett being injury prone - but if he can stay fit will be one of the top defenders. i guess with the trade changes this year it could be worth the risk. the big pav also a risk but same story as hartlett. good to see a few POD's

Looking good man, I would personally be worried about SJ, Buddy and Pav all starting as I think they will lose value while some rippers in Martin, Wright and a certain Crows player should all gun it

Noz

I am thinking about dropping 2 of Pav, Johnson, Franklin for maybe Martin and possible Wright and pocket the $122k for early upgrades.

Noz

Made a few changes

Team looks like this now

Defence: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Hartlett, Pittard, Goodes (Van Uren, Terlich)

Midfield: Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Murphy, Embley, Whitfield, Horlin-Smith, O'Mera (Wines, Viney)

Rucks: Sandilands, Leuenberger (Currie, Witts )

Forwards: Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Sylvia, Varcoe, Mcaffer (Neade, Lee)

Cash left $25,400

If Whitfield and Horlin Smith start of poor i will be downgrading them to 2 rookies who have exploded and pocket the cash.

im really positive on whitfield, number one draft pick i think they'll allow him to play alot so if he does his job right i think it could evolve into almost a tooby greene.

i personally dont  like birchall, after letting me down a few times last year i don't trust him like i used to.

you've probably heard this before but i dont think starting with the two most expensive players in the game because both of them most probably will go down in price :(

anyways hope this is advice im not really sure whether you should change anything or just hope for the best :)

Noz

Appreciate the input lolamusi

I have however changed Birchall to Heppell see better upside in Heppell to be honest.

Hoping that the Swan/Ablett combo can edge me ahead of a few teams in overall and keep me in the hunt early on.

Have been thinking of dropping Swan down to Kennedy and pocketing the 189k profit.

Same logic could be used with Whitfield. I guess if he spuds up you can downgrade him to a exploding rookie...

Nice team :)

Really think that it is a bad move not to have cotchin in there tho
Maybe start with cotchin instead of gaj and then once abletts price drops then pounce on him?

Noz

Have tried to sneak Cotchin in there infact i had him penciled in my mind since last season ended. Changed him to Swan as soon as i made my team.

Didn't see anywhere i could use the cash so i upgraded Cotchin to Swan

This scenario has crossed my mind
Swan to Cotchin
Horlin-Smith to Hrovat
Wingard - Crouch

and then either
Embley to Redden/Kennedy/Selwood (Embley could see the vest at times this season, Slot in my 5th premium)
Leuey to Mumford/Maric/Ryder (Can Leuey stay uninjured for the entire season)
Sylvia and Varcoe to Riewoldt and Lewis (Will Sylvia continue where he ended last season, Can Varoce stay un injured)

Embers, Leuey, Riewoldt, Lewis
vs
Redden, Leuey, Sylvia, Varcoe
vs
Embers, Maric, Sylvia, Varcoe

88 + 88 + 94 + 92
vs
106 + 88 + 91 + 75
vs
88 + 98 + 91 + 75

362 vs 360 vs 352

If my mental maths is correct, I'd go the first option with Sylvia and Varcoe to Riewoldt and Lewis.

Noz

The only problem is I see fast money and good scores coming from both Horlin-Smith and Whitfield could both avoid the vest as well. So them 2 could possible turn into premiums quicker.

Plan by Round 7-8
Round 7
Embley - Rookie on the bubble
Hopefully Embley can score a few decent scores to bump up his price close to 400k

Round 8
Horlin-Smith - premium
Whitfield - premium

Or another rookie that has bumped up by price leaving me with one of Horlin-Smith/Whitfield on the field.

Leaving me with a round 9 midfield looking something like this
Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Murphy, Premium, Premium, rookie/Whitfield/Horlin-Smith

If I do swap Cotchin in for Swan I could keep that money for early injuries and not upgrade my forward line.
