- Kane Lucas was just about best on ground in the Carlton Intra-Club match. He played through the gust, and on a wing, kicked a ripper of goal, and was extremely clean with his ball use. Looks as though he has improved his "gut running" over the break.

- Aaryn Siposs took on the role of a quarter back for the Saints, replacing Brendan Goddard's role. He marked just about everything that came into the forward line, and created a lot of run and carry of half back, whilst pushing into the midfield. A lot of intercept marks, long accurate kicks and a lot to like about Siposs.

- If you've got Tom Lee in your team, he looked very lost and had no impact up forward whatsoever. He was even utilised in the ruck, to get him into the game, and struggled in doing so.

- Great repots from Fremantles's Intra club game, with Danyle Pearce looking as though he is a new man. He was the number one rebounder for the game, he was dangerous every time he used the ball, and his poise by foot is something that a lot of fans have been raving about.

- Jarrod Witt's was a standout in Collingwood's intra club, and also proved handy when moved up forward. The monster 209cm ruckmen held his own, and there was plenty of praise for his ability to palm down the ball to his rovers, text book style.

- Dyson Heppell spent majority of the time playing in the midfield at Essendon's Intra club. With injuries to Zaharakis, and Melksham, he looked at home in the midfield, winning a fair chunk of contested ball, and was also able to play the wings well, with a great run and carry and pin point accuracy.

- Port Adelaide's Intra club was a bit showtime for the kids, with Colqhoun, Neade, Mitchell, Stevenson and Wines all putting on a show. Ex Bomber Gus Monfires was a standout, too.

Kane Lucas hasn't been on my radar at all, and I still don't think he will be, other options are out there and they look more tempting.

I rate Siposs, but I can't find a spot for him in my SC team at the moment, did have him in DT but got rid of him...

As I just said on the Lee thread, I like him from what I've read and seen, and I really can't let an intra-club match be the reason I jump off him.

Not considering Pearce either, but he's a viable option.

Witts is one I like, he and Grundy are really competing for my R4 spot with Currie locked at R3.

I've been considering Heppell, but I've got Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall and Broughton for now. Birch and Broughts may make way for Heppell before the season begins.

Neade, Stevenson and Monfries are the ones I'm really looking at, with this talk about Lee, Neade's looking better and better. Monfries may be midpriced, but I think he could be a great POD while Stevenson is a good bench option for my backline if he cements a spot in the Port 22.

This was from the SCP facebook page but I think there are conflicting reports, I went to the Saints one and thought Lee did OK and Siposs did alright but wasn't as everywhere as the quote suggests. There were better players (Milne booted 4 and i think Saad and Milera did well)
Armitage was very good too.

I have Jarrod Witts in front of Brodie Grundy at this stage. In his second year, unlike Grundy, which gives him a slight advantage.

Intra club matches are about as good an indicator of form as when Kyle Reimers kicked 8 against the Gold coast. It means nothing. I would make your judgements after the nab cup

GM

Exactly quinny,it was more like circle work last night.

Let people jump as much as they like. Better for the people that are patient and dont make knee jerk decisions ;)
Only have to cast your mind back 12 months ago and Brett Deledio had done a hamstring in his intra club match about this time and every man and his dog called him injury prone and said to stay away from him.. Went on to play 22 games and be the highest scoring backman by a country mile

Injury prone  :o
Played 93 games in a row at the start of the 2012 season and now up to 105 consecutive games. How could anyone call him injury prone  ::)

I know Jroo haha. There was a stack of threads on why to avoid him last year at this time though. Completely crazy
