Was he really that much of a penguin in the desert?

I'm still backing him...but I'm now keeping an eye on Jake Neade and Sam Kerridge.

I'm not jumping off him, I'm just concerned if he dosen't impress, he won't make it into the Saints best 22, as he has a lot of competition. Hope he has a good NAB Cup!

The way people are going on about it is what is baffling me. I'm the same, I'm worried he may not impress, but that goes with all rookies, gotta have faith that they'll come good, which is what I have with Lee. I still think he'll be the pick of the forward rookies come the season proper.  :)

Not jumping off, mainly because of the lack of forward rooks this season but at the moment can't see him getting a game early on in the season. Might be a good option to downgrade a fattened cash cow later on in the season when the saints season is over and they start blooding the kids.

Arryn Sipposs, on the other hand, was a stand out yesterday for the saints filling the hole left by goddard across halfback.

Lee was a little disappointing today. He only took a couple of marks and didn’t have a lot of game awareness. I think he will be a good player, but I am not sure he will be in the Round One starting 22. I should also mention that Beau ‘The Master’ Maister (formerly known as Beau Wilkes) was BOG today: he kicked 3 or 4, took at least 10 marks, and was the dominant forward on the ground. If Beau keeps up this form, Lee may be nudged out of a forward spot in the early rounds. With Rooey still running around, Stanley improving, and Kosi (why, I’m not sure) still on the list, I doubt Lee will play much in 2013 unless he has a drastic turn around in form. Maybe watch in the NAB cup and check the Round One line-up before selecting him as a forward bench player.
