Big game performer Jess Cameron is relishing the role of getting Australia over the line in major matches, after another starring effort in the women's cricket World Cup final win over the West Indies.

The hard-hitting Victorian No.3 won player-of-the-match honours in Mumbai for smashing 75 off 76 balls in Australia's 114-run victory.

Just over four months ago, 23-year-old Cameron earned the same award in the World T20 final against England in Colombo, where she belted a quickfire 45 off 34 deliveries.

"I've been working on making sure I get my team across the line in big matches which I've seemed to do in the last couple of months," Cameron told AAP.

"It is certainly something that I need to continue on throughout the rest of my career."

It was a good performance to win and win the final and all, but I do have a question, one that Sthalekar might be able to answer

Just what IS the Indian word for "Tanking"?

Surely you are not suggesting that the girls lost their final super 6 game to the West Indies on purpose so that England wouldnt make the final  ;)

That would be unAustralian to lose a game to ensure that either New Zealand or England dont make the final  ;) :P
