THEN... that left me with $22,000 roughly extra, so took out the 2nd midfielder on the bench and put in Crow's Crouch?

Pfeiffer81

Thoughts on Bulldog Lower? 3 games last season at 97 I think it was, is he fit?

Windigo

Been training pretty well, could be a real smokey.....Like I'm talking Beijing skyline smokey.  :P

Pfeiffer81

OK, so here is the update, again thoughts, much appreciated.

B Goddard, Grimes, Gibbs, Heppell, Staker, Terlich, (Docherty, Frost)

C Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Ball, Wines, Lonergon, O'Meara, (Vines, Z. Williams)

R Jacobs, Leuenberger, (Currie, Naismith)

F Franklin, Cox, Johnson, Rockliff, Varcoe, Menzal, (Lee, C. Williams)

Took out Hartlett and put in Heppell, took out Chapman and put in Rockliff.

THINKING about taking out Franklin and putting in Chapman, also Ball and putting in N Lower from Bulldogs, thoughts?

Pfeiffer81

Windigo, you twit, haha...

Varcoe out for C. Knights?

Looks better, Chapman might be a good POD. But you have to believe the trend. His average won't be going north you wouldn't think.

Edit, get Knights.  :P

Pfeiffer81

OK, so Knights in for Varcoe, team score is looking better, by a lot, but that doesn't mean shower though right now.

So...

B: Goddard, Grimes, Gibbs, Heppell, Staker, Terlich, Docherty, Frost.

C. Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Ball, Wines, Lonergon, O'Meara, Viney, Z. Williams.

R. Jacobs, Leuenberger, Currie, Naismith.

F. Chapman, Johnson, Rockliff, Knights, Cox, Menzel, Lee, C. Williams.

Grannyboy

Back and mids look good, and rucks too but you have no dpp for cover with Cox. You plan on having him solely as a forward? Chapman will miss 2-3 at least with hammy/calf issues almost guaranteed. Stevie J and Rocky were very hot and cold last year and is Knights really gonna be in your best forwards at the end of the season? A lil tinkering still needed up front I think.

Pfeiffer81

Opinions taken on board Granny, what/who would you suggest? Chapman missing 2/3 weeks starting round 1?

Na Chappy's ok atm as far as I know but he'll be wrapped in cotton wool the moment he tweaks something. I don't trust his age weary calves and hammys at that price, he'll go down in price during the season imo. I'd sure up your forwards with someone like Petrie, Pav, not Boomer* or even a smoky like Howe, J.Roo. They missed 1 game between them last year(Pav) and averaged between 77-95. Better value and safer than Chappy.

*suspended for first few games.

If Chappy gets injured you can trade him out, simple. But if you are keen on taking him out, maybe replace him with Robinson, Wright or Martin. Not sure on Howe or Petrie's DT potential (risky) but i do know that Boomer is out for the first 6 or so rounds (suspension) and Pav may be abit underdone coming off a few pre-season surgeries and only playing the back end of the NAB Cup. J Roo is pretty up and down aswell.

Pfeiffer81

Cheers lads, I'll go and look into it all now, much appreciated and I'll post here what I come up with.

Pfeiffer81

OK, so here is what I've done, tell me your thoughts please.

B: Goddard, Grimes, Gibbs, Heppell, Staker, Docherty, (Terlich, Clisby).

C: Swan, Ablett, Beams, Murphy, Ball, Wines, O'Meara, Viney, (Lonergon, Redfern).

R: Jacobs, Leuenberger, (Currie, Naismith).

F: Cox, Johnson, Thomas, Rockliff, Knights, Macaffer, (Lee, Dwyer).

OK, so took out Pendlebury and put in Dane Beams, took out Chapman and put in Dale Thomas, have $100 left, haha.

Thomas got 90 or more in most games I see last season.

Yeah have adjusted the other 3 posts I put that in too, oops, sorry!  :-[
You can always trade this season I suppose, I was just pointing out a few that should play most of the 22 games with a decent overall average.
