In 2010 Collingwood dominated teams with the press. Once the ball went inside 50, it didn't come out easily, if at all.
In 2012 Collingwood averaged 5 less tackles inside 50 than their opponents in the games they lost.

Enter Brent Macaffer. He's their best tackler/forward pressure machine. Easily best 22 material.

+1 100% Macaffer a walk up start in the Pies best 22 not going to be wearing JMacs number on the bench or NOT wearing it in the VFL.

even before that he was always an integral part of the Pies best 22. Lock him in and throw away the key.

Thanks CW, I knew he was best 25 but wasn't sure on best 22, think he might push dids out?

FB: Toovey Brown O'Brien
HB Shaw Reid Maxwell
C: Thomas Beams Swan
HF: Sidebottom Cloke Young
FF: Fasolo Lynch Krak
Ruck: Jolly Ball Pendlebury
Bench: Blair Goldsack Johnson Sub: Didak

yeah dids hasn't got a chance, just running out his contract, he will be a super sub. goldsack is behind macaffer so is krak so is young for that matter.

macaffer is a defensive fwd, but better at it than goldsack, krak and dids don't play that role nor does young he will go on a wing.

i think goldsack will be the one to make way for macaffer to be honest which is a bit of a shame he had a decent 2012 but macaffer is simply better.

auscoyote

cool i shall take that on board. Locked in he is ;D

Yeh Macaffer definately fits in the Pies best 22. Collingwood and especially Bucks absolutely love him and giving him Mcarthy's number is a fair statement.

ive got em both, looking at that 22 kindly put up,with beams krak thomas young goldsack jolly johnson & didak listed,it would be a miracle if 1 or more were not injured or generaled every week,so unless hes number 31 in line at the pies im thinking hes a good safe bet at that price, staker was flying before his wretched injuries & well worth a punt, fit hes top 22,if he goes down hope its after 3 games or just cut your losses
