Please rate my team:

B: Goddard, Grimes, Heppell, Suckling, D. Pearce, Vlastuin (Docherty, Van Unen)
M: Swan, Boyd, Pendlebury, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Toumpas, Wines, Crouch (O'Meara, Viney)
R: Luenberger, Vardy (Grundy, Sinclair)
F: Franklin, Rockliff, Martin, LeCras, Reid, Byrnes (Michie, Lee)

Remaining cash: $4,400

Forward line is a little weak perhaps. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

R.Griffen

Def: Very nice Defence not much I can say

Mid: Boyd quite an interesting one not many people have him, Fyfe is in a few team i rate him but not enough that he can improve his average by enough to be in my team :P.

Ruc: Vardy you will need to wait for round 1, he is a better Forward/ruck than West but West it higher up the ranks

Fwd: Dont mind the Premiums LeCras Im unsure about. S. Reid my mate has had him for a while waiting for a break out year but if he is poor in the first half Tippett will be the go to man for the swans. On last weeks DT talk episode they talked about Byrnes being a good pick but if Moloney maybe there best player was struggling so Byrnes I think he's worth the risk

Replace Franklin with Cox
Add Macaffer to your forward line. I like D Pearce in your back line.

I would trade Reid for Macaffer and then upgrade Vardy is only there second ruck.

Watch Michie during the NAB Cup, if he is named round 1 he will be a good pick up.

I think you should consider Staker as a forward or back.

Toumpas, Wines - I would look at these two Maybe Embley and K. Mitchell would be a better combo.
I dont know much about your back rookies, but I would consider Vlastuin , Stevenson and Terlich. Time will tell whose are better.

Im not a huge fan of suckers personally (too inconsistent)
at his price I'd consider Hanley or for a bit more Birchall. Ideally you want Gibbs though, he should be the number 1 DT defender for 2013 I would think.
Pearce is a bit of an unknown at the moment, at this stage I'd prefer pittard over him but if pearce smashes preseason/the nab cup by all means go for him.
Quality mids, I have no problems there
If you are risking having loo burger as number 1 ruck then I would feel safer having a ruck dpp with say cox in the fwds. That way if vardy fails you can move cox into the rucks and trade vardy to a fwd rookie who is getting games. If you feel so inclined to take my advice then trade buddy to cox.
I'd stay far far away from Reid, quality player, good to watch, just not DT superstar material. Go Reid to a rookie (staker?) then upgrade lecca or byrnes.

gibbs in defence is a must.
would downgrade buddy to cox and reid to staker as fuzz suggested to generate some cash. Reid isnt ready yet, body is still 2-3 years away from being ready
vardy needs to be upgraded, get the best you can afford.

My subs are just tentative and I'll end up picking the rookies who are named for Rd. 1.

Riewoldt and Jack are in the team because of their easy starts to the season.

Byrnes is a slightly risky option but he's pretty cheap so no real harm done if he turns out to be a dud.

Gwilt is another unique one. Last year he was coming off a knee reconstruction and managed to post 71, 49, 98, 83 in his last four rounds and his average of 52.3 in 2012 was way below his 70.8 and 72.3 from 2011 and 2010, respectively. He also had a pretty good run in the first game of the NAB cup.

I was toying with the idea of downgrading murphy to Ben Cunnington who had a great end to the season last year and is apparently training the house down. I'd probably then upgrade Cotchin with the extra money to Gaz and have about $80,000 left over. I'll wait and see how Cunnington goes through the NAB cup to make this decision.

I'd also like to trade in Stevey Johnson after Rd.1 which he's set to miss, most likely for Riewoldt or Robinson depending who's looking better.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

gwilt is a massive risk. not worth it, otherwise looks solid till the end of nab

Dutchie64

Gonna fall just short to change over to S.J. after round one with that change left in the bank........ ;)

didn't Robinson get an in club suspension??? or has he done his time?
