I think having both Ablett and Swan is too much (you can only have one as captain ), so I would look at there first 5-10 rounds and pick one. Replace the other with a Luke Ball, Fyfe, Mundy, Pendlebury. This will save you 100k.

Swapping Wines to a K Mitchell with save you 50k, and I think Mitchel will score roughly the same amount of points.

Get rid of Daniher and look at Macaffer (Save cash, with greater scoring ability and improved job security)

I am not a fan of Knights, so I would look to upgrade him. If you like Knights and if his NAB cub form is great then upgrade a back.

I think Pittard as your 6th back would improve your team, but once again look at NAB cup form.

I am not sure about Redden, I do not see him in the top 10 mid's for the year, and I don't see him improving. At 530k, you have to pick him as a keeper but I think there are better options.

This midfield combination would save you 200k to 300k, which would give you allow you to upgrade your forward line which I think you should have four premiums + Macaffer.

Ablett, Pendlebury, Cotchin, Reddan, Fyfe or Ball, Embley, Mitchell, O'Meara, Crouch, Viney

Personally I think its a flawed strategy to look at the players first 5-10 rounds and pick whoever has the easier opponents since players like Swan and Ablett are capable of huge scoring against anyone.

I don't see Fyfe breaking into the premium bracket of players this year, and unless he is averaging 110 come upgrade time I won't feel comfortable selecting him. Mundy is even more of a no and I see him averaging 100 at best.

Pendlebury however I like since he is a proven DT premium and I will consider replacing Swan with him, Ball on the other hand I am not sold on and I think Embely has much more value when he shouldn't average too much less.

I will not take Wines out of the squad for Mitchell unless he kills it in the NAB cub and is subsequently promoted to the main list.

Daniher, Reddan and Knights on the other hand I am less comfortable with and don't mind trading them out.

Thanks for the reply I've been waiting for ages.

Good structure
Generally good choices of rookies. One quick cash flow if you need it would be to downgrade Stringer to Macaffer.
Strong midfield
Can't fault any premiums bar one (wait for it...)

Dislikes
Broughton. Better options, like for 30k more you could get Heppell who will average 6-7 points more (cash method: see above)

Having second thoughts on Broughton and I see Heppell making the step to premium back this year if I can't fit him in for round one he will be my main upgrade target.

I will be going with Swan and Ablett

And what are your views on McEvoy as a POD? is it worth cutting down to Goldstein?

I'm also going with Benny, has a great start (GC, Richmond, GWS) so should pick up a fair amount of points around the ground instead of just from ruck contests. Will watch him in the nab cup though, will just downgrade to HMac or Goldy if not happy with him, or up to Maric or Sandi.
